the winner got 10K in cash and a harley fatboy motorcycle. the college division winner , a student from penn, won a Chrysler 200 and the top winggette won 5K in cash.

if you are a competitive eater for a living whats a good prize? i wouldnt eat 444 wings over a week period for 10K.

A few years ago, the CBS-affiliated (like WIP) sports station in D.C. tried to have their own wing eating contest, where they qualified people for weeks and had a similar format. They couldn't even fill the restaurant where it was held and they haven't tried it again. Only in the CoP!

But seriously, it's corny. Yeah, I get it. I will never attend. But how much worse is the Wing Bowl crowd than your average NFL or college football tailgate? It might even be more sophisticated and have less shitheads running around causing problems. Just because your NFL seats cost a little more doesn't make it any more classy. Bunch of hypocrites on here.
