I count myself among those that would like to schedule Notre Dame - every year if we could. Mike Brey has publicly stated he values the rivalry between our two schools and would love to continue playing us. It would appear there is significant opposition to this on the VU side (at least among fans). There is so much to benefit us, not the least of which is to present us with a challenging opponent.
I know the story about giving Brey recruiting access to the Philadelphia market (which we can't control so why bother), but it seems to me the benefits outweigh the negatives. We need strong OOC games so why not ND?
