The Class of Jay Wright

I know Jay said he thought they were going to add time back on the clock, but that beyond cool, calm, and collected reaction was more than just a coach staying in the moment.

There's no one that credits his opponents and respects them in a win more than Jay freaking Wright. After Oklahoma game, you could tell he genuinely felt bad about blowing them out in such an embarrassing fashion on such a big stage.

There's no doubt in my mind his reaction was nothing but pure empathy towards Roy Williams and the Carolina kids, fully understanding how tough it must be to lose a game like that. He didn't want to celebrate until he had a chance to shake hands with the opponent. He's all class, deserves this beyond words can explain, and I know I speak for all of Nova Nation when I say we couldn't be prouder of him, or have a better representative of our university.

Last 24 hours........

there are no negatives allowed on this forum........so, don't classify these as negatives.......but, heard that on N. Broad Street and on 54th Street, I've heard there are many who are just sick, and who are having their worst night-mares...........
And I'll call this borderline negative......but certain media types are saying that if that game had gone to OT, UNC would have won the game..... but, Kris made sure that didn't happen.......

kris Jenkins. Fire in his heart and ice in his veins

I love Kris' game this year. He has really gained a lot of pois that allows him to play to his strengths; mixing in mid-range and post up game with his threes. The "old-man" head fake game is impressive.

What I enjoy just as much is how fired up he gets after big plays. It does not matter if it was a play he made for one of his teammates. I loved his reaction after Booth's dunk. Kris picked up a foul, but then ran right to Phil screaming.

Damn, I love this team.

Wildcats Rule!

Thank you Jay Wright, and everyone that has been a part of creating this epic, winning ending to a magical run!
A shout out to all Nova Nation members that I've met and yet to meet as we bask in the glory of this championship!
Cats win! Cats Rule! All done with Class, Heart, Teamwork, and Character.

Did Anyone Else Go To The Pavilion Tonight?

My wife and I went to the Pavilion tonight. The kids were GREAT!!! I have never heard the Pavilion so loud. If I couldn't make it to Houston, the Pavilion was the next best thing.

There were five helicopters circling the campus. The kids went straight to Lancaster and Ithan and then to the quad. Not much destruction that we could see. Just a lot of jumping around. Let's hope nothing major happens.

The most important thing is that we got to meet up with my two sons after the game. (Class of 2015 & Class of 2019) A great family experience.
