Bye Bye BE Champs - Seton Hall

"- Seton Hall had its worst shooting performance of the season, shooting worse than 33 percent from the field, 20 percent from 3-point range and 40 percent from the free-throw line. Only one major conference team has had a game that bad this season: West Virginia against Texas on Jan. 20.- Gonzaga contested 57 of Seton Hall's 62 shots (92 percent) Thursday. The Pirates shot 29.8 percent on contested shots, including 22.6 percent in the first half."

Best train route to the Barclays Center?

Coming from Media, PA, when going to MSG, I usually drive to Hamilton, NJ, and take NJ Transit from Hamilton to Penn Station.

To get to the Barclays Center, what's the best route? Should we go from Hamilton to Penn Station and get another train from there? If so, which train? Or is there a better way to train in from New Jersey?

I'm sure I can find options online, but figured I'd ask here for opinions.

Thanks.

nova recruiting

I've lived here in cincy for about 8 years and one thing about this area is the fact that HS football is very big. The primary competitive league here is the GCL (greater Catholic league) and has the likes of ST X, moeller, elder and lasalle. Most national experts beleive year in and year out its one of the best leagues in the nation. Their top tier kids often go to ND OSU and some other big 10 schools for sure. St X has had a steady pipeline to BC with Luke kiechly being the most notable recent standout. But let me tell you, the next tier guys play at the OUs and Miamis and they many of them would love the opportunity to play at nova. Not tons of Catholic football options but we would present a really nice option for many of these kids. I have had several people over the years ask me why nova doesn't recruit the GCL. And as recently as the 2 weeks ago at te X game,a woman working concessions saw my sweatshirt and said my so. Would love to play football for you. He starts for elder and is looking for maybe a smaller school BC he'd be more comfortable but he's looking at a lot of Mac schools. I do t even k ow what to say to these people.any way to pass this to the coaches? The GCL is waiting.....

I apologize to those offended by the posting of this article and a few others that I chose to post on this forum. I think they are interesting and complimentary to Nova, it's players and coaches, and feel that some folks that don't have access to the local news media may enjoy reading about our team. I have seen a few indications that seem to resent these articles.

12 v 5 theory

so here goes my theory on the 12 v 5 upsets that are not so much upsets anymore. The 5 seed tends to be the 3-5 best team in a power conference. Purdue and Baylor are perfect examples. On the flip side, the 12 seed tends to be the very best of the automatic bids (power conferences leaders excluded). The 11 seed is where the bubble teams get seeded. As a result, you really have two very comparable teams playing each other. The very best auto qualifiers can easily keep up with and even beat the 4th best power conference team. It only seems like an upset because the power conference team has been on TV all season long and very few get to see the quality of the Yale's and Little Rocks.
