TV coverage

I thought there used to be a small icon or some indication on the schedule about who was televising the games but it doesn't seem to be there anymore (assuming it ever was) - is there anyplace on the board to find out that info? I am a luddite and don't want to keep checking my cable provider's listings if i can avoid it.
Thanks

OT: Gilded Halls

A bit long, but a good read in the Wash Post on the spending arms race that is college athletics and especially FBS football. So few schools are truly equipped to participate in this endeavor. The article starts off with board favorite Rutgers who will continue to be a money pit despite claims otherwise about how the B1G money will allow them to break even.

These leviathan-like athletic departments are simply designed to grow larger and spend more regardless of how much money they bring in. Gilded halls in the form of enormous video boards and state of the art weight rooms.

OT: Giants/Birds

Many posters on this board are either Giants or Eagles fans. Holy cow what a start for both teams.

Giants barf up 10 point leads in the 4th quarter in back to back games. Way to justify faith in your new big contract Eli.

Eagles look beyond pathetic against hated Cowboys. Chip Kelly demanded all the control, got it, now we'll see how he takes the heat for this mess. Bradford hasn't thrown one deep ball yet. Murray gets hit behind the line of scrimmage on every run. But, it was cool to bounce 2 veteran O-lineman out of town, Kelly's "system" can work with anybody, right?

Both teams have fanbases who are not very happy.

Comcast Sports package for CBS Sports

I was able to order this without calling Comcast. I signed into my account from my phone, went to "manage channels" and was able to select the sports/entertainment package and add it to my account for $5/month(promo price). The channels worked right away, and my bill for next month is even correct, I can't believe they didn't even mess up my 2yr contract discounts

Now removing it once basketball season is over I'm sure won't be as easy as that involves a phone call...

Thankful to be a VU Alum and Fan....

I made the unenviable mistake of recently traveling to a Rutgers sporting function along with RU families from town. WOW DO WE HAVE IT GOOD!!! If you will allow me to make a generalization their fan base is awful, delusional and angry (obviously it wasn't a women's soccer game as they just made Final 4)..... At least for the next couple days I don't care if we don't rebound or the VU alumni sits when they should stand... I have seen the very grim and dark other side NO THANK YOU.... Proud and happy to be a Villanovan!!!

8th in AP poll.

'Nova-St. Joe's gamewatch at Tilted Kilt in KOP ...

If you're looking for somewhere to watch Tues. night's 'Nova-St. Joe's game, a bunch of us will be getting together at Tilted Kilt in King of Prussia (http://www.tiltedkilt.com/locations/kingofprussia/). Although the game isn't scheduled to start on CBS Sports Network until just after 7 p.m., we'll have a room reserved for us on the second floor of Tilted Kilt starting at 6:15 p.m.

Please note that we'll be in a room on the SECOND FLOOR (not the first floor).

As always, the audio will be on for the game.

(Meanwhile, for those interested, we'll have the Sixers-Lakers game on at least one TV as well. For those who might not know, the Sixers can break the all-time NBA record for consecutive losses at the start of a season by finding a way to lose at home to the Lakers, who are also pretty atrocious. And, as an aside, it will all but certainly be Kobe Bryant's last game in Philadelphia.)

Hope to see you there! Let's go, 'Nova!
