XC Nationals

i am not that knowledgeable on the national XC scene but how did Nova men not get an at large berth to the NCAA champs? We only were behind auto qualifier Penn b 7 points. 31 total teams make it, seems like we should have been one of them. Zero respect from the committee for our weak region. Three individuals were selected but still seems like men ps team should have made it. Women were selected and I think their resume is not nearly as good as the men.

Key West lodging suggestions

This board always has great advice. I have been here twice but without a kid. And my daughter has food allergies so we want a place with a kitchen (villa). Does anyone have any suggestions for places somewhat near Duval St down there that are either condos, houses etc.? We have stayed at Simonton House and the Pier House but neither had kitchens. Thanks for any input. Planning a trip for 2016

Dayton

Yeah, yeah, I know they 'scream mid major" but will our building against an also ran Power 5 opponent be anywhere near as loud as their arena vs a Power 5 also ran?

Cue up the excuses now(not as many entertainment choices in Dayton etc)

Xavier

They look solid again. Good big guys, a senior lead guard, and excellent coaching. Piggy backing off the other thread about the Big East, people don't give them enough credit. They were far and away the class of the A10 previously and now are a solid second or third best BE team.

amusing Matt Walsh article

http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/miami-heat-pat-riley-matt-walsh-one-done-111715

I believe he made his college decision not too long after we hired Jay, and I remember being disappointed that there just wasn't much time to get in the race. But the article makes clear we probably wouldn't have had a shot in any event. He liked what Florida had to offer.

It's too bad they left out the part when we made him cry in the 2005 Tournament.

OKLAHOMA...

Looked good in a close win over Memphis...5 good players on the floor at all times.Heild can do it all,Spangler a load down low,Woodard good as are other starters. They are pretty big/long on the perimeter, may cause us problems. Daniel and Reynolds will obviously be challenged, should be a good game. I still think it's silly to go 8000 miles to play one game.

OT: Paris

while I was preparing myself for an entertaining evening of Sports on TV,I turned on the news....this is beyond Horrific. My own experiences during the 1967 Detroit Riots give me some small window into what the people of Paris must be experiencing.....our world is certainly changing and I fear for my children and grandchildren,
let's hope the hostages can somehow be saved but I doubt that will be the case based on what's already happened.
