It was good to see Nova back in action and college basketball in general back, great time of they year.
1) I really like how Jalen approaches the game, didn't do anything that was not in his comfort zone, he simply does what he wants to do against FD. Sees the game very well. He reminds me of Scottie with a more polished game. Really gives this team an added dimension, especially with the loss of DH. Looks like the game comes pretty easy. He will take his lumps, but the kid has a ton of game.
2) I was impressed with Bridges, to me if he can bring that energy last night o every game he will cause problems, especially at the head of the press. Didn't shoot the ball well last night, but those are shots I have seen him personally make. If he can gives us a lift of the bench then the team is just that much better. I was impressed.
3) Ochefu looked like he has taken another jump in his game, he looks physically apart. He looked like I'm great shape and that he could play for days! I give a ton of credit to Daniel he has come a long way since he was a freshman, in his game and his body, kudos to Daniel.
4)I love that Hart showed a little more drive and dribble game last night, he got in the lane a few times! Those shots will eventually fall, but that is an added element to his game that makes him much better and will create shots for others! He is to physically gifted and talented as a player to settle for 3's, I love the mix up, same with Jenkins as well, showed a little dribble game last night.
5) I like the effort Donte gave last night I had his for 5pts and 5boards! I think henis a player that might see time decreased as BE play comes, but that is the nature of rotation. I look forward to seeing him improve over time. He has a lot to work with, great attitude last night.
6) Give credit to Jay and staff, team looks ready to go! It is going to be another fun year with lots of wins and recruting news!
Beat Nebraska!
