Villanova traditionally closes the Annual Giving year on reunion weekend. That would be June 5&6.
Fund raising at Villanova is going very well, but we still have a long way to go. Donors can restrict their donations, for us that would be to restrict donations to football.

On the Temple board, that Delgreco Wilson dude posted this about what players are being offered:

"Here's what some schools are doing...

Pell Grant $5,775
Image/likeness $5,000
Cost of Living stipend $5,000
Off-Campus Rent payments $14,000 (actual cost of rent $6,000)... difference $8,000"

So, $23k/year in player compensation. This also does not include "meal money" which players get on the road. Doesn't include all the gear the kids get. Essentially, the $10k of likeness payments and Stipend are really the only "new" ways to compensate players.

I can really see the "image/likeness" payment from the O'Bannon case being a real wildcard moving forward. What was Jameis Winston's "real" value in that department this year? $250k? more?

In addition to Dylan Painter visiting Villanova next week on the 11th of June - Trevon Duval (2017, PG, St. Ben's) will make an unofficial visit on Wednesday, June 20th.

Montez Mathis Offered by Memphis. Arizona State showing heavy interest. Indiana is coordinating a visit and are expected to offer during the visit if all goes well.

Enough bickering about the Eastern Conference Finals. The Rangers lost, the Rangers choked, blah blah blah, who cares. Game 1 of the Finals is Wednesday in Tampa.

Experience vs. youth, lots of speed, lots of offense. Interesting that CHI was 1st in shot attempts during the regular season but only 17th in goals per game; TB was first in goals per game with the best shooting %.
