Nova Offers 2024 SG Isaiah Elohim

Another offer out in the 2024 class, this time to shooting guard Isaiah Elohim. Elohim is a four-star prospect who is rated No. 31 in the class. He's 6-6 and plays at Sierra Canyon in California.

Elohim holds a significant number of offers including Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Oregon, Arizona State, Florida State, Arkansas, Texas, UCLA and USC.

It will be interesting to see in Nova can make any headway here after jumping in pretty late in the game. Before the Nova offer, the most recent offers came from Florida State, Alabama and Arkansas in late February. Elohim has visited Kansas.

Two Months Until 2023-24 Season

Nothing really to report here, but with recruiting being a wasteland for a second summer and very little to write/talk about for the last few months besides players committing elsewhere or cutting Nova from their lists, I'm bored so figured we'd note reaching the two-month mark until the season begins.

Despite the lack of success on the recruiting trail, the 2023-24 season is shaping up to be a good one with a talented and experienced roster, so it's certainly something to look forward to. Between the transfer portal haul, looking for signs of development/progression from Mark Armstrong and Brendan Hausen and seeing just how good the team can be this year, there will be plenty of storylines. Can't get here soon enough.

The full schedule, including times and TV coverage, should be coming in the next week or two.

Nova Offers 2024 SG Sir Mohammed

Another 2024 offer has gone out, this time to shooting guard Sir Mohammed.

Mohammed is currently ranked 62nd in his class. He is from North Carolina and plays at Myers Park High School in Charlotte. At 6-5, 200 pounds he has impressive size.

Mohammed's recruitment stands to be a competitive one as he already holds offers from Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Mississippi and Cincinnati, among others.

Nova Offers 2024 PF Matthew Hodge

Nova has suffered a couple of misses in the 2024 class over the last few days, with one target coming off the board and another eliminating Villanova form consideration. The program has responded by getting out another offer, this time to power forward Matthew Hodge.

Hodge is listed at 6-8 and plays at St. Rose in New Jersey. Is is currently a three-star prospect who is ranked 130th in the class.

Hodge was a standout at the recent Philly Live event, where the entire Nova staff was present. Maryland, Penn State, Seton Hall, Temple and Virginia Tech are some of the other programs involved with Hodge.

Nova Offers 2024 G/F Billy Richmond

Work continues on the 2024 class, with another offer going out. This time it's 2024 four-star prospect Billy Richmond.

Richmond, listed at 6-6, identifies himself as a PG/SG, but Rivals projects him as a SF at the collegiate level. Regardless of the actual designation, it seems Richmond would bring a bit of a versatile skillset to the wing for Nova. A strong slasher, Richmond can finish through traffic with a variety of creative finishes. He's shown a well-developed floater and can hit pull-ups in the mid-range. He also has range out to the three-point arc. He is a good athlete and has shown positive signs on the defensive end.

Richmond is currently ranked No. 109 in the 2024 class. Originally from Tennessee, he is playing at Camden High in New Jersey.

For now, another name to watch in the 2024 class.

Five-Star Recruit Sets Nova Visit

Five-star 2024 point guard Jalil Bethea has set a Nova visit. He will be on campus August 25-27.

Bethea recently cut his list to five schools: Nova, Kansas, Miami, Alabama and Syracuse. He is expected to visit all five.

The Archbishop Wood product is ranked No. 15 in the class.

Big opportunity for Neptune and staff to make an impression on arguably their top target in the class.

2024 G Sets Nova Visit

Some more positive recruiting news, as Villanova will host 2024 G Sir Mohammed for an official visit July 30-Aug 1.

Mohammed will spend the two days prior to his Nova visit at Virginia Tech.

Mohammed is currently ranked 56th in the class. He holds offers from Marquette, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Miami, St. John's, Georgetown, Michigan, N.C. State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Providence, Xavier, Tennessee and Kentucky, among others. Good sign getting a visit in this crowded recruitment.

Jalil Bethea Cuts List to Five, Includes Nova

A bit of positive news on the recruiting front as elite 2024 PG Jalil Bethea has cut his list to five and included Villanova. Joining the Wildcats are Kansas, Miami, Alabama and Syracuse.

Bethea was an unranked prospect when Villanova offered him last July and has risen all the way to No. 15 in the class. Bethea, who has likely been a priority for Nova since the initial offer went out, saw his importance to Nova's class of 2024 hopes escalate when Christian Bliss came off the board to Virginia. Expect Nova to make a heavy push here, but it will likely be a slugfest with both Kansas and Miami to secure his commitment.

Nova Offers 2024 F Josiah Moseley

Another 2024 offer, this time to forward Josiah Moseley. Moseley is listed at 6-7 and plays at Stony Point in Texas.

Moseley is not currently ranked by Rivals.

He has offers from Texas, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, Illinois and USC, among others. The Illinois and USC offers also came today, perhaps indicating a bump in his recruitment and a strong spring/summer. It will be interesting to see if that is reflected in the next update of the 2024 Rivals150. For now, another name to keep an eye on in the class of 2024.

Nova Offers 2024 G Johnuel "Boogie" Fland

Another offer in the 2024 class, and this one is a big one. Johnuel "Boogie" Fland is a five-star recruit who is currently ranked 10th in this class. He plays at Archbishop Stepinac in New York.

Nova has been involved with Fland since communication with the 2024 class was permitted and he was already planning a visit to Nova before the offer went out. He is expected to take that visit sometime this month.
