Lack of a go to guy....

in game closing situations we do not have. Up 2 with 40 seconds left and the ball.....you need to close that out. The Hall has that guy and he got it done. Was a great game to watch, however and we played our hearts out. The obvious foul committed on Josh...oh well, on to the tourney. 29-5 reg. season was an incredible achievement.

Not so fast my friends,,Michigan State computer numbers not great

I have no idea how why Michigan State's computer numbers are not better,,they played and beat better team's at the top of of their schedule...winning on a neutral court against Kansas IS HUGE...They also beat Louisville at home,,they also beat providence on a neutral court...yet as of today their RPI is 14,,their SOS is 65 and their non conference is 131...they did not win their regular season conference...Nova's computer number are much better...We will drop a little losing tonight,,but my guess after NC beating Virginia we are still alive for a #1 seed,,
we just have to root against Michigan State...It would be real hard for the NCAA committee giving a #1 seed over us to a team who did not win their regular season conference and hopefully lose their conference championship to Purdue...Also Michigan State has a terrible loss at home to Nebraska ( rpi # 163 ) so i could be wrong,,but go Purdue,,then let the chips fall as the may !!

Love the BET but it has a short shelf life

I suspect if we had not won last year and our droughT since 1995 continued that I would feel differently. I am perfectly fine with the results. I like to play the three games to keep sharp since next Friday is a good bit away. But I am ready for the real tournament.

Overall, I like where we are. I also like that we got staggered a bit tonight but righted ourselves and played well in the second half. Sometimes the other team is a little better on a given night.

Hart

maybe not deserving of a new thread and I actually think the 5 second call was his own fault but it seems he rarely gets any helps from refs especially lately and he seems to get frustrated by it. He has to really calm down a lot bc it looks like he may blow. He has a fair argument at times. Anyone else notice this?

Is Delgado OK?

On that rebound at the end I thought he got shot by a sniper from the rafters. Great game but the Hall won't get any Academy Awards, well unless the refs are voting. I know we have a great strength training coach, but I didn't realize our guys were so strong. Multiple times when we had the ball we barely made contact and our player's strength caused the Hall defenders to fly 5 feet. I'm glad MSG's medical team was able to patch up Delgado so quickly. During their celebration I couldn't even tell he was shot 5 minutes earlier.

random question - PED testing

Is there PED testing in college basketball? Any college sports? I don't feel like I ever hear about it, but it seems strange if there's not. Occurred to me last night as I looked at Bentil. He probably earned his physique with good old fashion hard work (and genes), but would anyone even know if he were visiting ARod's "doctor"?

3 Plays

Is what it came down to. Hart stopping his dribble only to get surrounded and no one calling the last timeout. Switching with Ochefu onto Whitehead when the whole half he would show and then go back to his man. Then Jenkins trying to step in for a charge on Whitehead's layup. If he makes the shot, so be it. You're tied with the last shot. Refs were bad but you cost yourself the game.
