Kevin Cooney has some nice words about the boys from Bucks........puts the game in the proper prospective. Maybe Nova Nation can look at and accept what is said.......It's gonna take Jay some time to realize Arch is at the end of his Nova career.....let's hope he has 3-4-5 or maybe even 6 more games.

If we had a 100 percent Ochefu , we beat seton hall. For one, he has owned them In the past. But on a more general level , he opens up a lot more for our perimeter guys when he is a threat and when the offense goes through him. When he is limited, the defense can pressure our perimeter and take their chances on Reynolds. We were flustered yesterday for a lot of the game. Do keeps defenses honest.

On the other side, Do is a rim protector and very good rebounder. We take a big hit with him not in there.

Guys the reality is, with Do limited, I feel like the 2/3 round games are a coin flip. We'd have been a 4 seed to 7 with DO playing like that all year. Let's hope he is healthy next week. This is the key!!!

obviuosly i am biased, but when i look at the total body of work, we should be 1 in the east. We lost 2 games in the first two weeks of December, since that time we lost 3 games. One in overtime at home, one at # 5 Xavier and one by 2 points in the Big East championship to a possible 3 seed. You can argue the strenght of conferences, but i think round robin conferences are tougher. It looks like Big east will get 5 in with 3 of those 5 4 seeds or higher. Just think it equates to a 1 seed for nova.

Does the committee potentially reward a #2 seed to play on their home court against a #1 seed? How would you feel if you earn a #1 and have to play at a #2 seed's home city and court?

In my opinion, as a #2 seed we get Brooklyn, but not the East.

Sorry mainliner your defense of the refs is bs. The difference bt teams is too little to say that the refs calls aren't the reason for wins or losses.

All game long the refs let SHU mug VU players. Gotta wonder whether Jay complained after the ticky tack fouls last nite and the refs responded by letting Nova players get mugged out of spite. Josh was aggressive all nite and didn't get a fuking single call. Also RA was set with his arms up outside the circle when the refs called a block on him. That was pure BS. Whitehead's shot should not have counted! The refs are severely over paid for their low level of professionalism.

Our resume beats Oregon, and is slightly better than UNC sheen you factor in top 50 wins, road record, and no losses outside the top 50.

I had to follow on gamecast so I didn't actually "see" all the questionable calls/plays. In reading Eric's write up,he points out that our trio of guards only shot 3-16 and NO free throws because no dribble penetration.
Is that a function of Jay's game plan or player decisions. VS Friars we had great success with our guards attacking,scoring or drawing fouls.....why the change from one game to next?......If we go into NCAA trying to win with jump shots all game,we are going home early again IMO.

Tough game last night. Credit the Hall. They played great. As Dana White always says, "never leave it in the hands of the judges." We didn't play well in the 1st half, allowed Hall to hang around and left it in the hands of the refs. Move on.

Selection Sunday is one of my favorite days. I remember all too many years of stressing the entire day on whether we would even make the dance....and whether we'd be getting a 7 seed or a 9 seed....etc.... Today we are stressing over whether we get placed in our second home and whether we get to face off against a 15 seed or a 16 seed.

What a phenomenal season. Tonight we officially kick off the season that the rest of the country pays attention to. I'm ready for the Madness (on this board and beyond) but I am not ready for this season to be over. I hope the team feels the same.

Admittedly I know the least about hoops on this site, but, Seton Hall is playing good ball. This sucks. But, they really stepped up the whole tourney. Good on them. I am already set to start next week. LOVE THIS TEAM.

I am not afraid of ND as a 7 at all

Then WVU or SHU in Sweet 16 in Philly, where I would LOVE a quick rematch with SHU in Philly to erase last nights clicker. Admittedly WVU is my biggest concern in the bracket but again, we are home in Philly, so rather play them there then anywhere else.

A potential UNC vs Duke regional semi on other side (or UNC Maryland, who I am in thre adp98 camp on and not afraid of) and I'd much rather play UNC than UVA in Philly

Does anyone know if the Basketball team will be having a Selection Sunday event at the Connelly Center like they have the past few years? I know they usually start around 5 in regards to letting people in.

I believe besides us, that Hall has the best chance to go far in the NCAA's and maybe further than X.

3 of our 8 losses have come at the hands of SHU. 2 losses to creighton, then 1 each to Xavier, Providence, & gtown.

Great game but we blew it. We will be hungry, humble and ready. Seton Hall played great. 2 in the East would be perfect. Head up, get the big guy healthy and lets go. I hope to see many of you on March 25 downtown. Go Cats!
