Peaking

I don't know our ceiling, but IMO what we saw today is not it. Jay's teams used to peak late in the year, last year was our first undefeated OOC season. I have faith in Jay and the staff. We will be tested in the BE this year at a higher and more regular basis than the two prior seasons. I for one will accept 6-7 regular season losses if that then turns into a Sweet 16 or better. Brunson is not a 1 and done, but he will improve. I know watching us get pounded on the boards, I was thinking about next year and the multiple bigs we will have. 33-3 was phenomenal, but it ended horribly too soon. I'm not giving up on this team.

Painter

Had a terrific game last night against Susquehana. My dad was telling me it was in his paper

36 points and 10 rebounds and was 10-10 from the FT line. That was the most exciting thing for me. Any big with a nice touch at the line is so much more useful. We have mostly had big men who could shoot FT's and been fortunate with that. I am doubting Susquehana is any good but still nice to see him dominate. THey had no answer for him. He was 13-18 from the floor and did have 5 blocks as well

UVA Game Trip

I wanted to get a feel for how many VUSports folks are planning to head down to the game and what interest there would be in a happy hour type event for Friday night.
I have two restaurants/bars on the list to split time between on Friday night - at one of them I can host a happy hour for VUSports subscribers. The two bars (a block apart and less than a 5 minute walk from the team hotel) are:

1. The Virginian • 1521 University Avenue Charlottesville, VA 22903

2. Trinity Irish Pub | 1505 University Ave | Charlottesville | VA | 22903

The team hotel is:
Courtyard Charlottesville - University Medical Center
1201 West Main Street Charlottesville Virginia 22903 USA

Also: I am wondering if anyone that lives in the general vicinity of Villanova wants a ride down. It looks like I will have room for two more people. I plan to leave circa 9AM on Friday and return NLT 30 minutes after the game ends.

Tickets
: The arena is sold out and no special ticket offer is available for this game. If any tickets become available, they will be made available for purchase here on Friday December 11 at 5 p.m.

Pregame Meetup and Team Sendoff:
Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville - University Medical Center (team hotel), 1201 W. Main St., Charlottesville, VA. Arrive by 9:30 to cheer on the team as they leave for the game!

2 Tickets available for Xavier

I have two tickets available for the Xavier game. Yesterday I bought 2 for the game and my wife surprised me with 2 tickets when I got home from work. So now I have 4 tickets. I only need 2. I am not looking to profit on the tickets. I am looking for face value. These are upper level seats in section EC. They are center court or real darn close to center court. Row 19 seats 3 and 4. Nova charged me $68.00 for the pair.

Thanks..RobN

Weekend Spa?

I want to take my (7 months) pregnant wife away for MLK weekend. She can't fly, so we are limited to a ~4 hour driving radius around the CoDB. She can't ski, so that's out. She can't drink, so it won't be too much fun to do a random city like Boston with no real purpose. The only thing I can think of is a spa weekend somewhere. Anyone ever done like this and have any recommendations? There are some decent looking places in the Hudson Valley, but I'm thinking the further south we go the better the weather will likely be. Maybe something on the outskirts of the CoDC?

Always enjoy groupthink from the board on matters such as these.
