I think it is really important to note that work the beach did throughout the year, but specifically in the toruny run. We might have not been the deepe team, but the quality of the depth we brought off the bench, in my opinion was the best in the country. The quality of depth brought off the bench between Booth, Bridges, and Reynolds were really solid, depth that most team in the country would love to have. Credit to Jay and staff for developing these guys to really give us some huge minutes off the bench in times of need.
All of those players brought energy, skill sets that were needed, and versatility on both ends to put us over the top.
What Booth was able to do in the championship game was special, a mid who accepted the role and flurished at the end of it to help us win the big one. He hit big shot after big shot in the championship game.
Bridges really the whole tourny being able to defend multiple positions, be the head of the press, and battle down low is special. This is a young player, still developing game wise and body wise and gave everything he had. Also, gave us a huge dimension of play making on the offensive end. His energy is special, he never looks tired. Only getting better, we saw a fraction of what he can do in the future this year.
Reynolds giving Daniel time to rest was big 3/4 of the year. Gave us quality minutes throughout the season and post season. I look forward to seeing how he and Spellman mesh.
Best three man bench rotation in the country that played pivotal minutes all the way through. They were always prepared and ready. Most programs would love that quality of depth. Best part, they are back next year in a extended role, the train keeps on going. To me, that is balance on all areas of recruting and roles in general.
