for the last two years all of the republicans from the Garden State educated the rest of the world that their beloved hero from tropical storm Sandy would be our next president. Kjbert used a chris Christie icon as his avatar, dmill was like a broken record about his beloved governor.

So why hasn't the rest of the country caught on to the big spending selective socialist jersey shore staple who once abused his position as a prosecutor to get his brother out of trouble? Shocking.

Because the Trumpster stole his thunder as the brash, loudmouth, tell it like it is candidate.

I enjoyed how he schooled that whiny bitch Rand Paul in the debate. That was gr8.

Regarding both Christie and Trump, they aren't your typical politicians, the "yes" men that tell folks what they want to hear whether it is good or bad for the country. Both Christie and Trump are ass kickers and ball breakers, something the country has never had enough of. Whether the citizens have enough foresight to recognize the candidates that won't just give us another four years of political rhetoric but will stand up and fight for what the country needs remains to be seen. I don't believe in being politically correct just to come off as a nice guy. Guess you figured this out already.

Just looked up to see if the selective socialist was even running. He is. He is polling at about 1% right now.

REminds me of when Rudy Guiliani was the lock of the century but couldn't even get past Iowa and NH.

What a joke.

It's good to have Ball back.

Speaking of that, what have you been doing?

Back on the east coast for a little bit. The time zone thing really injures posting.

Also, Ericw kept banning all my user names because I spoke honestly about our football program, so I gave it a rest for a bit.

Very honestly about the football program.

You may think you spoke honestly, but, there are still a bunch of folks that like having a football program even if it is FCS, as long as it competes and contends for championships. Sure, it costs the University $$$ and support is not the best, but, for a small, private school, it ain't too bad.

I track Nova FB during the year. Always like to see them do well.

Love that there is still a "This guy speaks his mind so he would make a good President" segment of the population. There's some overlap there with the "I'd like to have a beer with that guy!" segment.

People lost faith in selective socialism after Mitt Romney and his background of New England health care socialism couldn't claw out a victory against a Kenyan.

I'm playing this new game where whenever i see the phrase "politically correct" i change it to "treating people with respect"

Bill Maher recently did a gr8 segment on political correctness. Some college in New Hampshire apparently issued a vocabulary guide. "Obese" individuals are now "persons of size." "Rich" people are now "persons of material wealth." Mindboggling...

Douchebags are now assholes.

That is ridiculous. Everyone defines "political correctness" differently though and to base your presidential run around a word that varies in meaning from person to person is pretty silly. Kind of like telling people you'll bring "change"

Political correctness is basically recognition of sh*t talking about certain groups of people or topics using certain words. And rather than address the underlying conflict, some people prefer to just updated the terminology (cripple -> invalid -> handicapped -> disabled -> etc.) some people don't. Neither side is doing anything. So the choice between the two sides (if you're binary) is do you side with people who recognize problems and devise ineffective (or outright fake) ways of dealing with them? Or do you side with people who refuse to recognize the issue but are honest about their ignorance?

Your choices are very profound, and pretty much tell the history of the political leadership of the country in modern times. I'd like to know why the two party system is still flying.......it only gives us the "yes" men and "no" men instead of one leader, supported by elected officials all pulling in the same direction.

The words "American" and "healthy" are apparently off-limits as well, replaced by "resident of the US" and "non-disabled," respectively.

Was recently at a conference with an international audience where a speaker said "American" in reference to US culture a couple times before catching herself and clarifying it to mean "United States". It wasn't necessarily offensive, it just confused some people.

Eventually the term "Asian-American" will be considered offensive. We might as well start thinking of a replacement now.
