Between everyone with a camera and surveillance cameras everywhere, it makes any physical altercation in public a social media phenomenon and makes it a certainty you will get caught. Gone are the days of shutting up an asshole with one shot bro. You still can I guess but you'll be doing 6 months for aggravated assaulted after. Sad that cameras have made even the smallest skirmish newsworthy.
 
I would think that facial recognition technology is robust enough that they would be able identify most adult suspects caught on a modern camera phone by cross referencing with drivers license pic and mug shot databases. I'm sure there's a whole lot of privacy red tape to prevent that from happening though.
 
Yeah but just about every night on the news is a story where cops are asking for info on some guy who hit another guy in a public place via a surveillance camera. And with Facebook and Twitter that shit gets shared and retweeted by all the social media crime fighters who think they're making a difference.
