Bullpen's actually one of the better one in baseball, not just the NL. Their 2.64 ERA is the fifth-best mark in baseball. They are fifth in baseball in strikeout rate at 25.0 percent, and their 8.3 percent walk rate ranks tenth, and that is with Alex Torres walking a million guys and Blevins, Parnell and Black not playing.

Add Wheeler, Matz as SP, Edgin as more BP by 2nd half of 2016 as well. Matz maybe this year if they trade Niese or Gee for some offense.

All that said, offense is completely insufficient. Will be surprised if Nationals are not up 9-ish by the AS break as they should be.

Baseball is not like hockey or being a running back in football or something. There are plenty of guys who put up very strong numbers well into their 30s.

BTW, anyone seen Nardi lately. I'm looking for his thoughts on Bryce Harper? He's been awful quiet lately.

I am here, just got back from vacation.

Harper is playing well, don't think I can put him in Mickey Mantle territory yet, but let's see how things play out, he is having a hell of a 1st half.
