Drinking tap water, taking questions.

It was filtered water from the same pipes that split off and also go to a kitchen faucet. Not sure if it officially qualifies.

Please discuss your level of skateboarding proficiency as a young'n.
Never been on a skateboard.

What did you have for lunch today?
Chicken Parm sandwich. It's the f*cking weekend. Why not?

What is the one thing you wish you could change about yourself in terms of your physical appearance?
I don't really give a crap about my appearance. I could stand to drop 20 lbs though.

What is the one thing you wish you could change about yourself in terms of your personality?
There's definitely a leaning towards grouchiness and/or anger. It would be nice to take the edge off that.

What is the largest check you ever wrote and why?
Probably the check for my last car purchase. It was smaller used SUV coming off a lease.

What is your favorite animated TV show?
1) Looney Toons - def the best (rest in no particular order)
2) Duck Tales
3) He-Man
4) Talespin
5) Inspector Gadget - 2nd best
6) Garfield
7) Jetsons
8) Muppet Babies - 3rd best
9) Captain Planet
10) Heathcliff
11) Scooby Doo
12) Bucky OHare

It made my skin dry. OH THE MILD DISCOMFORT!!!!

Did you see the CoDB Times Op Ed today by some guy saying that Boston should be declared a federal disaster area because of snow? If that were to happen, would Boston be the new CoP?
Have they canceled any NFL games because of it?

Are you rich?
No.

Do you know any poor people that ski?
No. Middle/Upper middle class people that live close to a ski area can do it though. I grew up near a few crappy ski areas and it wasn't outrageously expensive to get a season pass.

Do you know any poor people?
Yes. Participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters has introduced me to people and neighborhoods that are far different from what I would normally see. Also, many people are "poor" in their twilight years.

What is the worst job you've ever had?
I was a janitor at a large car dealership's service center in the summer after my freshman year of college. I would be covered in oil and grease like a coal miner at the end of the day. It was the summer of the Ford Explorer/Firestone Tire blowout rollover recall. I stacked untold thousands of recalled tires in trailers to be hauled away.

What sports positions will you push your kids to play? Why?
Shortstop. You can play any position if you can play shortstop.
Rabbit on the cross country team. To get in shape for hoops season.
Point Center. Will watch lots of Calathes vids.

How long have you been in BBBS Program?
Top 3 events you've gone to with your little.
What made you want to join?
When do you think you will call it quits (if applicable)?

I find it hard to believe you've NEVER been on a skateboard.

I also find it hard to believe that at least one of these couldn't make it into your list of favorite animated TV shows....
1. Family Guy
2. Simpsons
3. Batman and Robin

What's your biggest life regret since leaving Nova?

What is best decision you made since leaving Nova

First of all, welcome back ND. Good to hear from you.

Have your pants gotten tighter over the past 5 years? Being in my mid-20s, it's pretty much essential or you may as well have a mullet fashion wise.

Favorite movie to watch (or most watched) each decade of your life:
0-10
10-20
20-30
30-40
61-

Worst roommate you ever had?

Favorite fruit? I'm golden delicious apple myself. Can also be answered with a feminine man

Nas - realer than Jay-Z or just as much of a fraud?

If you can, explain the day or moment you realized the party life wasn't for you anymore. Specific event or just general malaise?

Nn1188,
Been in BBBS for 3 years.
Best events: Ice skating at Penns landing- just did it a couple weeks ago
A crazy Flyers third period 3 goal comeback game
Saw a Tony Wroten triple double, too

Usually the best stuff times are just riding our bikes around fair mount park.
I joined after I stopped coaching hoops. Coaching spoiled kids was more like babysitting and wasn't helping me or them.
I will prob call it quits in the next year. Don't have the time with a family anymore. We've been down to once a month for a while now. Will still keep in touch and go out and do things together but not necessarily within the program. It breaks my heart that his grades are slipping, no one at home gives a damn because they're just trying to keep their heads above water. I don't have the time to help.

Fav movies
0-10: Home Alone
10-20: goodfellas, lebowski, Robin Hood prince of theives, karate kid, Empire Strikes and return of jedii, tombstone, unforgiven, memento
20-30: anchorman, wet hot American summer, raging bull, 40 yr old virgin, any submarine movie
30-61restrepo, man on wire, some crazy movie about the ward brothers in munnsville ny, mostly documentaries
61-? Cloudy with a chance of meatballs

Worst roommates: liked them all, still are friends. Familiarity breeds contempt though. One was insanely messy. His Room was just a pile of stuff, but he kept it to his area. Another was just the ultimate miser and resulted to "brutal honesty" when you would bust his balls

Fav fruit: clementines, green grapes

I like Jayz's music better than Nas both had a great album or two in the early 90s . Jay has been 50/50 garbage since then. Nas has been 90/10 garbage since then. Both are so far removed from their roots that neither is real.

The party life wasn't for me... Realized that when I was hungover as hell going to the BBBS 4th of July picnic a few years ago. I just remember laying in the grass in Franklin Square thinking how much it sucked. One or two drinks will absolutely drain all energy from my legs, too. If I want to do any type of distance run, I can't drink the day before or after. Also have seen booze and drugs wreck a number of loved ones. I don't think I've had a drink in 6 weeks or so now. I've got a Lancaster Milk Stout and a few Belgians waiting in the on deck circle though.

Totally laughable answer! I was hoping when I saw you returned that it was the old ND who was a good/funny poster. Too bad it's the more recent negative/complaining version of ND. I won't read it because I don't like it. Bring back the original ND.

Read and re-read thread. Just cant find anything noteworthy in your experiences. A great thanksgiving dinner once ? An 8PM preference for haircut is unusual I suppose. Oh, the 47 yard field goal on a sandlot. How long ago, do you remember having the spot closer to the 31/33 or exactly on the hash ? Was the ball snapped by any chance....

Why does tjc keep bringing up how many thread views he had in his taking questions when arguing with people?
That thread was the most exciting thing that happened to him in the last 15 years. Old people and children crave attention because their everyday actions aren't worthy of any. Also, he is one of those people who brag about being a "techie" and being into technology but still only have a shallow understanding of it.

I would really hate to think that in real life guys like you & NC94 are so obsessed with someone you don't know and have never met. You need to get a "real" life. You seem to be trying to compensate for something missing from your lives by constantly posting stupid comments on BW & 4.6 which are monotonous and certainly not funny.

On a scale of 1-11 how seriously does tjc take this board? Do you think he thinks this is real life?
I would go with an 8. I think he has more important things in life - keeping track of his own health, maybe a weekly diner trip with an old friend, a few favorite cable news shows, some remote control blogs. But other than that, this is his Super Bowl.

Riled up? Not in the least. I think it's really funny that yours and other people's lives are so devoid of substance that you spend so much time discussing me. It's truly amazing. I actually kind of feel sorry for you. The minute I sign off, I don't have a single thought about any of you. My life is full of good things that I care about. I'm spending more time on the pay board because there you can have actual discussions about VU Hoops without the childish antics of failing would-be comedians:) So, carry on with your foolishness if you need that to fulfill something missing in your mundane existence:)

Please don't ruin that board with Bleacher Report trash and regurgitated specials from the Montgomery News :)

Where do I go to acquire a sense of humor?
Why do I not realize that most people think I am a pathetic unlikable jackass?

Your hatred for tjc is limiting your newsgroup contributions. Snap out of it, chief. Our generation's preeminent philosopher, Will Smith, said it best: "Hate in your heart will consume you too."

Question to the board: Been listening to the Black Keys tonight and enjoying myself. Are they too mainstream and CoPish to admit appreciating?
