Drinking tap water, taking questions.

Have you ever been in a car traveling at 90 MPh or higher? If yes, did you feel unsafe and what led you to do this or passenger with this person?

Best "home-cooked" meal you've ever eaten?
Best restaurant meal you've ever eaten?

Yup - if you put the pedal to the metal for a while, you can hit about 105-110 in a '93 Subaru Impreza. As a dumb teen, I used to bomb around back country roads at insane speeds, blowing stop signs to catch some air. My first night with my license, my older buddies showed up at the restaurant I worked at and challenged me to a race. Stopped doing that type on nonsense after my car took a slight (10 degrees?) left turn in the air one time with two passengers in it. Managed to hold on and straighten it out on landing, but our lives all flashed before our eyes. Never felt unsafe except for that moment.

Will still touch 90 mph occasionally on a desolate interstate. NJ Turnpike, PA Turnpike Scranton bypass usually. Some good hard rock or metal usually cause that.

Nice, I had the subaru gl. Got that bad boy around 105 in the backwoods of WV

A family friend who is an actual "born in Italy" Italian cooked us a great Thanksgiving dinner once - homemade pastas, unfamiliar pastries, all manners of cured and roasted meats.
Best restaurant meal you've ever eaten?Haven't been dining out much lately and I'm not one to have vivid memories of a specific meal. In CoP: had some good meals at Zahav, Melograno. I always like Seafood Unlimited for some reason.

Due to their classy sign out front, no doubt:

Sadly, there isn't one. Hilliard and Chief disappear for long stretches. Alpha dogs don't do that. Hart will be it next year hopefully.

Do you think that driving 105 mph on one of the most heavily traveled suburban roadways in the country is no big deal?

Do you believe that anyone who feels that anyone driving 105 mph in said area is a reckless idiot who potentially endangered the lives of other people isn't a "real man?"

Best core-ab workout? I've been doing more planks but looking for options. What do you find works well. Open to all.

105 is reckless in just about any scenario with the possibility of being near other cars.

Driving 105 MPh on an empty beltway in a 200K car designed to go much faster is not very dangerous. No, it's not.

Never enjoyed ab workouts, honestly. Have done a variety of core workouts and they always completely slay me. Never watched my eating enough to have a six pack.

Please describe your average workout. Are you part of the 65% of the people @the gym who aren't exercising?
How much did you bench in your prime (25-35ish)? Is that a meat head question or a fair evaluation of strength?
What age range would you consider your prime (most enjoyable years of your life)?

Name one tangible benefit of your hiatus from Benchwarmers

What's your current favorite show on TV?

Sure, if it's literally empty. But my guess is that it was not and never will be.

My average workout consists of running anywhere from 3 to 10 miles as fast as I can. My heart is pounding every time. I am soaked in sweat every time. When I lift weights (decreasing in frequency lately), it's a rotation of movements that are challenging and get my heart pounding.

At my best shape, I would bench 275 and could run 20 miles at 7:30 pace. In general, bench is a fair evaluation of strength. There are bros wearing vibrams at crossfit that would have a stroke if you told them that though. I think of strength in terms of "which person is more likely to grab me and kill me with their bare hands" not "who can plank the longest".

Prime of your life is probably two years after you graduate college up until you have a mortgage and family. You are not a fresh grad idiot anymore and you still have health, disposable income, flexible schedule. That's not to say having a family and other things that come later in life aren't amazing as well. They're more of a slow burn than a hot fire, though.

Yea, the other people were probably only going 80. I drive the road every day, it's like a race way. I've seen the car, it's some 2 seat roadster that you can't even buy. Not anymore dangerous than a soccer mom on the blue route going 70 in a suburban.

Read some books, developed some solidly innovate ideas at work.

I don't watch much TV. My DVR list dwindled to nothing recently. Just added "Better Call Saul", though. I hope it pick up some pace. I watch the Ultimate Fighter contest shows whenever it's in season. I've been watching House of Cards recently. Possible future shows: Homeland, Walking Dead.

I only saw some of the 70s/80s SNL stuff. Was shocked how unfunny Bill Murray was. Always enjoyed Coneheads.

In some jobs that I've been on, I've commuted on the NJ Turnpike and the PA Turnpike and on both, the going rate of traffic was 85-90 at times. Usually it's a some Mercedes AMG or BMW 750 that bombs by you over 100.

Exactly, beltway on a Saturday is the same. Just got home and I hit 90 when I merged off GW Parkway onto the Beltway. I'm only on for a mile but had to just to get over. It's the same spot Werth got pulled over. That's just the nature of some roads.

1) Would you consider your time away from the board "career enhancing"?
2) Do you hold any ill will against Stirling Gibbs?
3) Have you experienced any joint pain or reduced flexibility over the years from your work outs?
4) Do you plan to retire before the age of 65 and what are your expectations with regards to your Social Security benefits?
5) To what extent do you do home maintenance (lawn, painting, plumbing, electrical etc) yourself or do you pay others?

You win. Reckless driving is a myth.

PeterN,
Not career enhancing but I gained some personal focus.
I don't care about bball cheap shots.
Joint pain from stupid lifting is real. Would have focused on better form if I could go back. Yoga helps relieve that.
I don't plan to fully retire ever. Who knows what anything will be like when I am 65. I do expect some social security, but I will not rely on it. That's for poor people.
I do all home maintenance I can. Not heating/cooling or electrical though. Haven't had any electrical issues here though. I have no problem replacing light fixtures and switches/outlets. But I don't know how to do anything more than that. Wouldn't be opposed to learning if the need comes up. I have been enjoying stuff like that recently. Fixed my car heater controls last month and tore apart the entire interior to fix a sunroof leak and its damage last summer. There is a detailed how-to on the internet for everything
