Hinkie!

Sixers swap J Thompson for Gerald Wallace's dead body and pick swapping rights! What should my level of outrage (or lack thereof) be?

Yawn.

Jason Thompson was worth 1.5 more wins playing 18-22 mpg.

I will say this. For helping GS get tax relief they should of gotten more. I would have asked and taken a flyer on James McAdoo.

I won't lose any sleep in not having Jason Thompson taking valuable minutes from younger players, but from the not getting more standpoint I didn't like the trade.

Not much of a move. Wallace gets cut or comes off the book in one year not two as in Thompson. I agree with burrs that they should have gotten more than a swap which almost certainly won't happen. The only possible chance is that Durant stays healthy and the Thunder fight for the top spot in the West

whatever he does now is not an issue. the 2016 draft is the final straw. 3 1st rds to go with Okafur, Sarick , Stouskus, and Noel in 2016-17. that is make or break for Hinkie. trading other stiffs doesnt matter.

and of course Embiid will not play one game for the Sixers. but i dont blame him for that pick. what can you do in that spot.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

And you'll counter this with you said it then, but all that is always going opposite of the CoP perspective.
I actually don't think Okafor was a bad pick. I thought Noel was going to be a limited 4 and Embiid was going to be Greg Oden.

Okafur was a steal at #3. i think Russell will be an avg player at best in the NBA.

.. How many wins for Philly will having Oakfur on the team equate too...this year

1 more, 10? ZERO??

Have no clue.

Andrew Wiggins must stink because Minnesota's win total went down last year.

J Thompson is 1.5 wins according to u.

How bout a guess for no#3 pick?

(Minnesota lost best player in K love.. Philly not losing much)

Bad example by me with Wiggins. I forgot he was traded there and not actually selected high by MIN.

I think the Sixers will win more games this year if their current roster stays relatively healthy. I'd say between 23-28 games. But I don't pin that increase on Okafor alone. Just a part of it.

28 wins max.. Thats rough, but would be progress?

My question isn't really fair, because it takes most draft picks a few years to really get going.

No way Sixers win 28 games. Hinkie is intentionally not attaching a PG to this team for a reason. As well as not addressing the bench. For a reason. To lose a lot again this yr.

28 wins & 52 losses is losing a lot.

Org has fans twisted & in the palm of their hands, if you are hoping for this & happy

when does the hinkie project stop? when does he actually try to win? is winning not fun for him? is he more interested in tanking and acquiring picks that he never uses , just trades them for more picks.

Year 3 & one fans top ceiling is 28 wins & another says that's dreaming.

Both fans still follow the circus.

Dude's a rube controlling legend

When does the Hinke experiment stop and they start winning?

2016-17 after 3 or 4 first round picks in June 2016 along with Saric. That does not include if Embid can actually play.

He starts trying to win the year after this one.

A doc who is familiar with Embiid's scans and surgery was on ESPN radio yesterday and said he gives him a 95% chance of a long career. Said in his opinion his unexpected growth spurt in the last yr messed up the healing process. Also said he could probably have played on the foot as is this year and "possibly" made it through a season but likely needs the bone graft surgery. Doesn't sound whatsoever like he re-broke anything.

Absolutely believe this because it is the only opinion that makes sense since the 76ers are not talking. I said that he could have played and he definitely wanted to play according to him and college coaches. A kid with a broken foot does not skateboard down Center City and run up stairs multiple times in an Arena. This has always about the 76ers being incredibly cautious. He will play next season IMO.
