Looking for a new job

I called out a dude who has had to go to the Dr. with his wife 5 times in the last month. I said in front of his boss, "I would have fired his ass weeks ago".

Did he take the whole day off or just a couple hours? Maybe she has real cancer or is having a problem pregnancy. Can't fault a guy for caring for his wife.
