Nats can't even get a bobble head right

Your post is incoherent.

Read mine again. I stand by every word of it.

All we heard from you was about how Rizzo invented the game and how the Nats were the gold standard of how to build a winner by developing young talent.

And despite all of the hype, the Nats have won literally nothing and you are hopping off the bandwagon as we speak.

The Phillies had a nice run. I don't recall anyone comparing them to the '27 Yankees. That is an intellectually dishonest statement.

You laugh about the FIVE STRAIGHT DIVISION TITLES, but that is actually a decent accomplishment nowadays. Come back and talk when your team wins ONE STRAIGHT PLAYOFF SERIES.

Nats have been around 10 years, you guys over 100. The Phillie's suck and have for the bulk of thier history. Nats had an actual owner for 7 years and won the division in 2 of those after starting from scratch. Please.

You picked the wrong thread to try out your NickelDimer contrarian shtick.

The Phillies were historically bad for decades. No one is disputing that, nor is it relevant to the discussion.

We are talking about the past 5 years or so, when you decided to become a Nats fan at the exact same time that the Phillies began their inevitable decline.

You laugh about FIVE STRAIGHT DIVISION TITLES, yet your Nats have yet to win a single playoff series. Laughable.

Are we talking division titles or world series? 09, 10 and 11 huge successes? Stop. Yoy guys acted like dicks for 5 years and came away with one win. We never heard from you before or since. Yoy dont like a taste of yoyr own medicine. Nats have won nothing. I still show up and root for them, unlike yoy frontrunner. Nats never had a .500 season when I hopped on board. Give me a break. Go to an actual Phillie's game and get back to me.

94, laughable post. Y ou guys have sucks forever, won one world series and 25 years and blown for the bulk of them. 5 STRAIGHT DIVISION TITLES. Please, your fans didn't show up for years and your team blew. Now back to normal.

Aside from 3-4 teams the Phillies have been as successful as everyone else in the league over the past 25 years. I provided this data in the past. I guess you refused to acknowledge it or read it.

What do you mean you never heard from us before or since? You're hearing from us right now.

I guess you have to have season tickets to be consider a fan. Typical.

Boston, ny, San Fran, st lou. No, they haven't.

I guess you skipped over the 3-4 part.

Here is a list of teams that have made playoffs more than the Phillies in last 25 years.

ATL
STL
LAD
SF
BOS
NYY
CLV
MIN
OAK
LAA

Here is a list of teams to play in the WS more.

The last time I checked their are 30 teams, so as I was saying they have been better than a lot of MLB teams. The 3/4 number was a bit low, but fair to say in the top 7 or 8.

These 7 have to be considered more successful, I think:

Toronto
San Fran
Boston
NY (AL)
Atlanta
Florida
St. Louis

After that, maybe a tie with MN for 8th?

Won a pennant in '09, lost in WS. Disappointing but not nearly as disappointing as being bounced in the first round.

Things got progressively worse from there as the team declined but they still accomplished more than the Nats have.

What do you mean, you never heard from me? About what? I went to my first Phillies game in 1978. They sucked when I was at 'Nova except for '93 and I went to plenty of games before and since, at the Vet and CBP.

More like you don't like a taste of your own medicine. Get back to me when your team wins a playoff series, let alone a pennant or WS title. Not my fault that you hopped on the bandwagon of a paper champion.

In last 25 years Mets have been more successful. Playoffs in late 90s and early 2000s and a WS appearance. Also a 2006 NLCS. I'd take that kind of sustained success over time than a flash in a pan 5 year Phillies run

- something a douchebag miller would say

I wouldn't say FLA has been better just because they won two WS to the Phillies one. Never won the division, no other playoff appearances, and 16 of 22 seasons below .500

So, a team that might make the playoffs 10 years in a 25-year span but never won it isn't better than a team that since once and has 24 other years of ineptness? Not sure I agree with that.

Don't forget calling the siblings over a no-no and then having said pitcher fall off the face of the earth immediately afterwards because they left him out there for 130+ pitches.

I value WS titles quite a bit, maybe too much. I think each one grants you the right to a decade worth of ineptness.

I been to multiple world series games my team has won. So that's my getting back to you.

Yea, when you root for more than one team in your lifetime the odds are better that you will. That's easy. I mean how much could they have been "my team" when they are no longer "my team". Ohhh, that's right some front office guy insulted the manager. Is that some kind of joke?

No, making up rules on what teams people you've never met can root for is a joke. I say this despite the fact you have approved of my Nats fandom. Helps me sleep at night.

I'm not making up rules for anyone to follow. Follow who you want. My rules are for me to detect if one is a fraud or not. I terms of fandom.

What does meeting someone have to do with it? The story is still the same whether I meet you or not.

adp is getting testy. I guess this is what happens when your team chokes every year.

Phillies finally beat Mets and the Nats pick up a game on the Mets. Ohh wait, they blew a 4-0 lead and then dumpster fire Drew Storen gives up a 5-3 lead in 8th. Costly defensive play rears its ugly head again.

Somebody should probably put Rizzo on suicide watch at this point. Guy falls in love with his genius, no one takes himself more seriously, dupes local newbie baseball media and fans into buying in. Now being exposed on so many levels, their paper dynasty crumbling before our eyes, while Harper counts off the days until he can get out, probably in year before FA, traded for some mediocre starting pitchers who crumble in pressure situations who will be under club control for years. Many articles and press conferences (often parroted by adp) with Rizzo fellating himself because of all the genius moves they made.

--inexplicably trading Clippard, who was solid and conistent as a reliever can be for years, now playing for team that's spanking them -- but went into season with Storen as closer, guy who has been a gas can in each playoff appeearance -- genius! Rizzo still has no clue what playoff baseball is about (understandably I guess).
--Fister -- genius acquisition -- club control for x years blah blah blah, demoted from the rotation.
--Gio -- "stud" -- club control for x years blah blah blah, stinks in any game of significance for all those years.
--huge contract for R Zimmerman, can only play 1B now.
--horrible defense all over the field pretty much, especially at SS (luckily for Rizzo Desmond turned down the offer to extend he put out there)
--the Strasburg shutdown (not sure if it would have mattered thogh, he's a choke artist too, but hilarious in that soon he's going to let him walk)
--Hiring and sticking with Matt Williams because he appropriately kisses Rizzo's a$$, even though he's a terrible manager that the team has no confidence in. again--do you want to try to win in the playoffs? He should've been fired in April, if not offseason, could see where this was headed.

And adp was just telling us how Ross is going to be a stud better than any of the Phils' young arms... long way to go based on what I've seen.

You obviously need to question your baseball acumen if you don't see the Joe Ross thing. 22 years old, 3 pitches, throws mid-upper 90's with crazy movement, averages a k per IP and doesn't walk anyone. Guy is a stud, 22 years old.

Your Viagra infused hard-on for Rizzo will never end. I'm sorry he signed your idol Jayson Werth. Yes, you had to buy a new jersey with another man's name to wear on your back. Sorry, just get over it already. Hope mom and baby are well.

Has Werth lived up to that contract? That robust .218 average suggests that letting him walk was the right decision.

And Rizzo is an arrogant douchebag which is why it is enjoyable to watch his teams choke on an annual basis.

I think his contract is considerably better than Howard's.

Ross walked 6 guys last night in 2-2/3 innings before he was pulled so not understanding no walks. I don't doubt he has major league stuff, just not sure he's a top of the rotation stud, as opposed to a back of the rotation or bullpen guy. Seems like for now the scouting report on him is making the rounds and he's struggling. We'll see where it goes from here.

Defense can be costly? I was scolded when I suggested that Ryan Howard's decade of league worst defense cost the Phils games.

When the Phillies were winning their defense was always very strong. Even with Howard. No one ever said he was a great fielder. The Nats haven't been a good defensive team over the years with expectations. With Howard you took the good with the bad. He produced tremendously with the stick for 5 years and no one on these Nats teams (Other than Harper this year) has come close to putting forth a stretch like his. Perspective, bro.

Joe Ross walked six last night in a must-win game. Yea, pinpoint.

He had issues griping the ball it happens. Guy had fewest walks in his first 55 innings in history. Or something like that. Despite last night check out his k-walk numbers. I rest my case. Again, the talent is obvious.
