Good start to the weekend. Met up with RW tossed back a few drinks. Started talking to Pete Prisco - he's adamant the Broncos win outright - and some other CBS sportswriter and took them to a few bars. Convinced my buddy to hit a local spot of mine next thing I know I'm making out with some random chick and bringing her into the men's room. Brought a handful of people back to my apt and was up until 3.

No matter what happens in this game, I look forward to about 11pm when gdog starts a thread with some sort of rambling outrage over some play or call that tilted the line or over/under bet that in his mind will be "totes redonks, Clark". Then when asked if he bet on game, he'll lie and claim he doesn't bet on such goofy sports as football.

How about Cam Newton playing the bitch by not going after the fumble, he probably would have gotten it. That was so incredibly gutless. He was also whining like a wuss when Denver wasn't called for a late in the end zone, even though Cam held onto the ball forever. This dude is not ready to win yet, it showed tonight, very immature. I have no doubt he will get over the hump but damn, man up when it counts the most.
Denver did what I thought, ran the ball, Manning playing QB as a game manager and they relied on their defense. Von Miller is a total beast.

Aren't all turnovers reviewed anyway? The game was fixed for Peyton to win (been saying it since the season started), fits the narrative of his farewell tour.

There were audio issues throughout. Phil Simms did not have his best game. One of the more curious pieces of analysis was on a sack by Luke Kuechly where he was unblocked and Simms said: “Kuechly timed it perfectly.” Simms’ biggest flub was a Newton interception where he said Newton threw it “too hard” for Ted Ginn Jr. to make the catch. Of course, the Broncos’ T.J. Ward made the catch and Simms failed to mention Ginn’s problems with dropped passes over the years.
Not that I like Simms but wouldn't he have meant that Kuechly timed the snap count perfectly to blitz?

Denver's defense was great.....Thought the missed catch by cotchery changed the game...Don't know how a call can be blown on the biggest stage.......Denver scored after that but Carolina was driving for the lead score.......Carolina receivers went after balls like pussies.....Newton looked exhausted at the half.......Manning just managed game......Defense wins championships.....
Oh, you mean after I predicted what happened well before the game? Man up to it, you were wrong again but what else is new? We all know Manning is shot but his team won while the MVP played just as poorly if not worse than Manning and acted like a punk during and after the game. You simply don't know much but we all knew this already as well.
pretty fun experience going to the game, even without a lot of points. walking around downtown sf and first arriving at the game it looked like it would be a pro-panthers crowd. could not have been more wrong. it was 70/30 denver fans and the defense was clearly feeding off the crowd. halftime show was actually fairly entertaining live, sounded ok in the stadium. nfl tailgate on the 50 pregame was a show, housing drinks from 11:30 - 2:30. brady walking around with giselle, david wells out mingling w/ the common folk (looks better now than he did in his playing days), ton of former redskins milling about.
i had carolina -5.5 originally, at halftime i took panthers under 14 total points 2nd half and denver over 10, that 2 pointer won both for me and brought me back to even for the game.

carolina's o line and receivers shit the bed. guy dropped the ball on the four yard line and they gave up a bizarre f--king return. newton wasn't good
