I saw some scuttlebutt about the CAA on another site & a fan posted that Nova would be a Patriot League team if and when Coach Talley retired. Rationale was closer regional play & academics align with Colgate, Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell, Fordham, Georgetown, & HC

Nova VS Lafayette Game Chat

Keeps saying none of these games are upsets, Bilas asks him "so GA State is a better team than Baylor? UAB is a better team than Iowa St?" Seth then brought up Butler beating Texas. I think he's had too much coffee, he just won't shut up.

Wall Street Journal reviewed field going back to first 64 team field and selected the best game for that bracket/seed. Clips from each of the game are available on the website (link below). 3 Villanova games are listed among "the best". 'Cats are 2-1 in those games. They include a first round game (hint, it's not the win at Dayton that kicked off the 1985 run...so skip that one and save your mood), The Wildcats' 1985 game with GTown is another and the third is their Sweet Sixteen win over BC back in 2006.

Trivia on that 2006 game -- if you look closely at the portion of the clip that shows some of the overtime action you can spot a familiar face who now coaches in the Big East. When they showed him from behind he caught my eye. Small world.

Just saw that he is sitting on the bench for Northeastern. He is a 16 Year Old with Cerebral Palsy and his name is Max.

Go Northeastern.

When people wonder why we're worried about being a 1 seed, 2 seed, 3 seed, etc, this is why.

Georgia State and UAB are 66 and 122 on KenPom.

Lafayette is 194th.

The difference comes primarily in the 1st round .As a 1 seed, we're facing an unimpressive champion of a bad conference usually. As a 3 seed, you face much trickier teams.
