I don't know if anyone is paying attention to this, but Thursday's afternoon session and Friday's semi-finals are virtually sold out on Ticketmaster (about 25 tickets left for Thursday, nothing for Friday). Prices for any decent ticket on the secondary market are very high. I mentioned this before, and not sure if it will change, but there are several thousand tickets that appear to be blocked off in the Garden - basically anything in the 200 level behind the basket or at an angle behind the basket. That's about 10 sections that aren't sold at all. They are not in the hands of fans of the teams because there hasn't been any in those sections for sale on Ticketmaster from the beginning nor has there been a single ticket for sale on Stubhub for those sections. Anyone think there is a chance they decide to sell those tickets once everything available is sold out or once they decide they won't be sold is that it? It's a shame because demand for tickets seems much higher this year and I think there is a chance they could have sold the building out this year, especially for Thursday afternoon with us in the first game and most likely St Johns playing in the second game. All that's happening now is it is driving up prices on Stubhub close to the levels paid when there were 16 teams.

Really Amazing Atmosphere Today

I drove to the game from Long Island with my father. Although we gave ourselves 3 hours (usually takes about 2 and a half) we didn't make it until there was 5 minutes left in the 1st Half. We were obviously unhappy about the traffic and getting there late but as soon as we walked into the Wells Fargo Center that was all quickly forgotten about. We knew we made the right choice.

The place was 95% Villanova from what I could tell and even my Dad made a comment about the amount of people who were wearing Villanova gear. Even my bitchy ass St. John's fan friend who was complaining about Jay Wright having no class and running up the score (THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I HATE ST. JOHN'S WITH A PASSION, DEALING WITH THESE COMPLETE CLOWNS ON THE REG) was saying the atmosphere was incredible and that the fans were awesome. He was at the game but I did not see him because I don't like to deal with this people on game day. Don't have time for their nonsense.

I usually go to a few games a year, but this was my first game at WFC in probably 3 or 4 years and thought it was incredible. Everybody just seemed really excited and we had several conversations with people in our section. There is a real comradery between Villanova fans it seems. I think we all know we are a part of something special right now.

I love Jay and I love this team. Today was an incredible asskicking I will not forget. The 1995 team coming out at halftime was icing on the cake. Great Day. GO CATS!

This Team

I became a Nova fan during the 71 season when we lost to UCLA in the final. This team is the best Villanova team I've ever seen. I'm an older fan (get off my lawn!), but these kids are the best ever in my book. I'm eager to see what they accomplish in the tournament. I think they have as good a shot as anyone (including Kentucky). Tip it and see what happens!

Zone

The possession just prior to first time out
of the second half, we went zone. And we played it pretty
well. When we started burying jumpers and slams, I stopped
taking notes and don't know when we went back m2m. That was
a hell of an offensive show, but as someone who has already posted
said that we were picking on cripples.

Home Dominance

At home in Big East play only:

9-0

Average margin of victory: 20.9

Average margin of victory starting with Georgetown (when the team got focused and angry): 26.3

Average margin of victory after Georgetown: 30.3

Average margin of victory over NCAA bound opponents: 21.2

WOW!!!!

Cheaters

They affect us all......Take North Carolina.... which we lost to twice on their way to "their" National Championships.....If rules were adhered to .....those kids at NC would have been banned from the Team for academic fraud. No Telling where Nova would have advanced to if we didn't have to play "cheaters" to advance.....can't wait for those dirt bags and hypocrites get theirs.

Syracuse also makes me furious.....how many games have we lost to them while they were cheating that affected Nova's NCAA Bracket (seeding)...Cuse pretty much got into the Tournament every year how many Big East schools( as well as other at large schools) didn't get in because of the cheaters at Syracuse?
