Fury

I remember there being a thread about this movie but I can't find it. Saw it over the weekend.

Decent war movie, but not great. Nice action scenes/good effects, but the acting was poor and the story was underdeveloped. Many scenes just kind of seemed tacked on. Maybe I'm just spoiled from Band of Brothers.

Hot Yoga

Anyone on here do it? Seems like most places offer one introductory month for $30-$40 unlimited, then jack up the price to $150/month. I joined last week, have gone 6x in 7 days. Feel great, actually noticed my digestive system is working better too. Some decent eye candy during those 90 minutes.

Don't see myself renewing, but I might buy a 10 pack of classes for $120 or something and go every other week.

Phoenix Open

Some good media appearances today in Phoenix. Tiger making his return to Phoenix for the first time since 2001 and Robert Allenby trying to make a statement without answering questions.

Tiger looked relaxed and was in a good mood with the media today during his press conference. He lost a lot of weight and looks like his younger, trimmer self. (the 3 week flu diet) His swing looked a lot better and he said he's reaching driver clubhead speeds he hasn't seen in 15 years. I guess it's easy to be good natured when you're not getting criticized for poor play but this could be the start of Tiger 3.0. He's been working on his chipping to get rid of the chunks he had from trying to marry two different chipping methods. He even made fun of himself for "raising the roof" when he aced 16 in 1997 and said he hasn't played in Phoenix the past few years because of security problems that have since been fixed by the organizers.

Allenby's interview was great. He tried to keep it short by making a statement saying he doesn't remember anything (especially doesn't remember anything about a strip club) and wants everyone to let the police investigate without pesky media interference. Interference such as asking questions doubting the ridiculous story.

Being a champion feels goooooood......

Some of you know what I'm talking about. Others of you root for the Jets... anyway:

It feels good to be a champion. You root for a team all year. You deal with haters making crazy claims (ie, peyton manning is better than tom brady, etc...), and you push it off. you just focus on the task at hand: rooting for your team to win ballgames. The haters will make excuses, try to deflect your success, and fail to appreciate the role you play in your team's success. But at the end of the day, you know deep down that you made a difference, and that part of this win belongs to you.

Those Eli Manning fans out there feel me. You deal with CoP'ers claiming that donovan McNabb and the Sanchize are better.

The 2008 phillies fans feel me. You guys rooting your heart our for jimmy and chase and ryan and queeny to beat jose Reyes, rey ordonez and David wright and some other guys. And you won. But the mets fans just made excuses, and then your team fell apart. But you earned that win. You rooted real hard. You made good things happen.

My fellow patriots fans know what I am talking about. We root wicked hard for our team and today we became champions (again). The Dean and other haters will try to diminish our accomplishments, compare us to trent dilfer or Phil simms. But we know we are special. We root better than any other fan, and we matter.

Time to go deflate some balls.

The Gr8est Football Player Any Of You Have Ever Seen....

Discuss...

Who are the bitter jets fans like thedean, shoops and Dr Van picking? Sanchize? Mangenius? Rexy? Peyton? Ryan leaf? Jeff George? Mike Mamoola?

I was actually hoping Tom would just retire after the game. Say, "I'm the best ever, I deflated my balls all over this league, I'm outta here!.". I actually was hoping that 2007 and/or 2011 would be that moment, but it feels real sweet to see him do it in 2015.

Double digit fourth quarter comeback in the big game. Not even lowry99 or adp can knock this one.

The best any of you have ever seen. Tiger, Jordan, Gretzky and Tom. The sooner you accept it, the better all of your lives will be.

Snottie - This Will Make You Barf

I thought after our exchange of views last week about the government wasting our money, you should see this. It's another reason why your generation has to become more involved. 2 non-related people living together in MA could collect a total of $111,000 a year without ever leaving their home. While these are state figures, the federal redistribution of wealth is just as bad.

Move Cherry to strong safety

He's big enough to level those FBS renegade receivers, he's fast enough to cover the field. He can blitz like Larry Wilson (if you don't remember him, you're blessed with youth), and he can run defend on third and short. As it is, our DBs have almost as many tackles as our LBs. I also remember Dave Bauer, probably the largest SS we've ever had.
