Best CBB Games of All Time

(Posted this over in BW, meant to post it here so here it is)

Nova as the winner in two of them.

My top 5

1. Nova over UNC 2016 Title Game
2. Nova over G'Town 1985 Title Game
3. NC State over Houston 1983 Title Game
4. Duke over Kentucky 1992 East Final
5. 'Cuse over UConn 6 OT 2009 Big East Quarters

Nova in possession of arguably the greatest upset of all time/lowest seed to win a title/"the perfect game" and a 3-point buzzer-beater to win a title that answered an incredible, epic shot in it's own right by Paige. How awesome is it that Nova's two titles are also two of the best title games ever played?

NC State over Houston another epic upset and you gotta love Jimmy V and that reaction.

Duke/Kentucky speaks for itself.

The drama in the 'Cuse/UConn game was incredible, that is a game I'll never forget watching.

Who do you guys got in your top 5?

Kyle Lowry

Can a player of Kyle's skill and age gain anything from the Olympics or is it just about the experience? Feel like the inner-squad scrimmages would be more competitive than any game, but is he past the point in his career when playing against some other greats is something he's done enough of at this point.

Honestly, I'm not sure why any "veteran" or established player would go to Olympics outside of the obvious honor of representing our country. It seems like something that's really beneficial for a player still trying to establish consistency in the league like a Jimmy Butler or even Dorozan. What does it do for the Lowry's of the world outside of risk injury?

OT - Bucket List Question

It's difficult to attend sporting events as a fan for me due to work conflicts, but I was able to cross a major bucket list item off by watching Liverpool in San Francisco over the weekend. I'm now wondering what my top bucket list item is, but my question is this: When you've done something on your bucket list, was it as great as you anticipated?

Olympics

Do we have any avid Olympics watchers? I can't get into it beyond a few events. My fiancé is obsessed with the Olympics so that means I'm watching. Most enjoyable events to watch ranked:
1. Women's volleyball
2. Fencing
3. Women's gymnastics
4. Track (sprints/relays)
5. Swimming (sprints/relays)

Got to have a brief talk with Dhamir

I had an opportunity to speak briefly with Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree as he transitions from the AAU season into getting ready for his senior year. He only had time for a few questions, but our short conversation increased my anticipation of seeing him in a Villanova uniform.

NovaIllustrated: What made you decide on Villanova?

Cosby-Roundtree: They were the right fit education-wise. They welcomed me as more than just a basketball player.

NI: What can Villanova fans expect from you when you take the court as a Wildcat?

CR: A LOT of energy. A lot of dunking. Just playing hard all the time and trying to win every game.

NI: What will you be looking to improve upon during your senior season?

CR: Definitely my mid-range game. My defense, particularly on the perimeter and just my ability to play on the perimeter. Also my strength.

NI: I know you need to go, thanks for your time and good luck in your senior year. Looking forward to seeing you at Villanova.

CR: Thank you for the opportunity.

Despite our conversation being short, it spoke volumes to me. You have to like what you hear in his answers. A hard-working kid who is all about effort and energy (he really emphasized the energy he will bring), a perfect Villanova guy. A kid who appreciates what ‘Nova offers both on and off the basketball court. And a kid who is ready to put in the work and improve his game, and has the ability to recognize areas where improvement is necessary. But I was even more impressed with his demeanor. He was polite, he was humble, and he was thoughtful. It was a pleasure having a conversation with him. He is a great fit for ‘Nova and the culture that coach Wright has built, and Villanova has an excellent addition on and off the court.

We also spoke about having a more in-depth discussion in the future, and I am looking forward to setting that up with him.

Villanova Championship Painting Kickstarter

Thought I should post this here too:
This sounds like something cool - the artists other paintings look very good - I know that I would be in for one if the goal is reached - check it out

From the description it sounds like we would need to have about 240 prints signed up for at $25 each to get it to run - I think that is doable
