"fitty" files for bankruptcy. Hard to believe (but not really)

I'm not suggesting tomdudes is guilty of this, but there are way to many people in this country that have no idea what filing for bankruptcy really means.

I understand that it doesn't mean he is penniless. However, given his earnings to date, it's not unreasonable to think that he should never have to remotely consider even filing the papers.

he just lost a 5M lawsuit over a sex tape , the chapter 11 protection may offer him a way out of that payment. that is probably why he did it.

What a fantastic ring up by the ump. Also, how unclutch was that on howard's part. Full count, 2 men on, down one. How are you taking that pitch?
Nodding - one of the best strike 3 calls when you consider the circumstances.

I hate watching that, I am not saying it was a bad call but it could have been called a ball. Way too close to take though. He keeps that inning alive and then you have Werth on deck who was having a great series. Phillies would have won that game and forced a game 7. Oh well.

Perfect pitch given the situation. Right on the black, knee high. A little low for my tastes, but no complaints. No way that Howard is driving that ball.
Wilson always had a good cutter. It was pretty much a perfect pitch. It's either strike 3, ball 4, our fouled off. Not much else Howard would have been able to do. Maybe a better hitter takes that the other way, but not Howard.

Five days ago, the NYTimes published an adoring piece on 50 Cent noting his "exceptional business instincts".

Further evidence that print journalism is dead.

CoPers are so easy. Nardi throws out a little bait with that gif and they can't help themselves. A thread on 50 Cent has now devolved into a CoP centric sport discussion of an event 5 years old. Amazing.

All this means is we're going to hear him advertising more SK energy shots on the radio.

He did leverage his very small amount of rap ability with his tough looking image/story about as well as one could do. Got a little ambitious in terms of how long the peak would last probably - he'll be fine.

A hungry Eric Gregg ringing up everyone in sight in the 97 NLCS:

A screw job as egregious as Kings/Lakers 2002.

Has there been an ump ever caught in Tim Donaghy fashion? Have to think, if not betting, these guys basically make calls for who they think is the better team in playoff games. Goofy sport

god that game 6 was brutal. werth missed blowing the game open in the 1st inning by about a foot, and then victorino couldn't hold onto a fly ball hit by the pitcher, turned into a double later in the game that tied it at 2. took the train back to nyc that night after the game, slept through newark (used to get out there and cab back to hoboken instead of going to nyc and back out) and texted this gal i had been on 3 match.com dates with, "hey, you out?" she invites me to come by for a sleepover. so much rage, turned me into a sexual deviant (more than usual) that evening. i mean really, really weird stuff. made for an AWKWARD brunch the next morning.

This is like a mini-synopsis of BW. A thread about pop-culture, some trolling, a side track into CoP sports, capped off by an Eberzzz story that somehow connects everything perfectly. The only thing left to do is give full marks with a cap tip.
