OT: London - Settling in

Just finished our second week here in London at the beginning of a long-term work assignment. Many of you on the board have been helpful with advice, suggestions and well wishes which have indeed proven very useful.

We have been in South Kensington these first couple weeks and at the end of next week will be moving into our permanent apartment in Chelsea, on Burton's Court just off Sloane Square and the Kings Road (to PeterN's dismay, as a passionate advocate for Hampstead he is). It is very near the kids school so we are very happy, although I probably don't need my wife near all those high end stores.

For the board members in London, as the Nova hoops season approaches and progresses, hopefully we can arrange a meet up of some sorts.

For those headed over for leisure, please give a shout on the board if your in town.

Mike Huckabee!!!

throwing his name in the ring with the other contenders!

He is promising to conquer jihadism and protect Social Security while keeping us all on the right side of the bible by bringing back good old fashioned anti-homosexuality sentiment into the mainstream.

I hope he makes a serious run at the nomination and brings some serious unintentional comedy to the race.

Huerter to visit Nova on Aug 30-31

Zags is reporting that Kevin Huerter will make an official visit to Nova on Aug 30-31. He has also set officials to Maryland (Sept 4-6), Michigan (Sept 12-14) and Notre Dame (Sept. 24-26). He also mentions that Iowa, Indiana, Creighton and Davidson are still being considered.
From what I've heard and read, especially from Eric, I think this kid would be a very nice get for us, even if he does a redshirt year.

Chris Christie

for the last two years all of the republicans from the Garden State educated the rest of the world that their beloved hero from tropical storm Sandy would be our next president. Kjbert used a chris Christie icon as his avatar, dmill was like a broken record about his beloved governor.

So why hasn't the rest of the country caught on to the big spending selective socialist jersey shore staple who once abused his position as a prosecutor to get his brother out of trouble? Shocking.

Pat Chambers gets another Philly kid

Carr just verballed to PSU. That will make 5 Philly area kids on that roster.

2 former Villanova players on his staff too with Anderson and Condon. Plus former assistant Urgo.

PSU recruiting and succeeding in getting Philly kids directly kills Temple. Carr is absolutely the type of local player who would have ended up at Temple. Dunphy cannot be very happy at the moment.

St. Anthony's picks up Mading brothers from Sudan

Talk about following the roads where basketball leads you: these brothers have gone from Sudan to Australia, and will now play their HS ball for Bob Hurley in Jersey City. They are cousins of 2016 Sudanese stud Thon Maker. The 6'10" 2017 prospect Daniel is being recruited the most by Bobby Hurley and ASU - that's convenient for both father and son.

Another St. Anthony's note - 2016 6'3" combo guard Jagan Mosely has committed to Georgetown. His list of offers wasn't overwhelming, but I guess JT3 sees something in his versatility and defensive-minded approach that many high majors didn't.
