talk about a total mess. Only D1 program without a head coach. It has now been 7 weeks since they fired Monte Ross. No coach will be hired until new AD is named. Interviewing ADs now so it will probably be at least two weeks til they have a coach, perhaps not until June however. AD search process has been a mess to. Fired old AD on Dec. 21 and still have not hired a permanent replacement. Admin is getting killed by the Wilm News Journal on the delay. Incoming President does not seem to care much about it.

5 players have been granted release to transfer and two of the 5 have already announced they are gone. Korey Holden is going to S Carolina and another guy is off to UT San Antonio. If three others bolt and new coach can not get guys on board this summer, Nova will be playing a UD team next year with three scholarship players on the roster.

Any coach who takes the job must insist on a minimum 6-7 year deal because of the mess that is left. Not sure UD will win a single game next year.

Box Scores for all 40 games this year

I stumbled on a site that had the box scores for all 40 Nova games this year. Detailed stats (more than the ESPN box scores). One page for each game. Could be nice to print off and keep with other memorabilia for this year.

Villanova.com site had a box score link and it took me to the site below. Must have been there all along and I didn't realize it.

Sometimes it Just Bees Dat Way....

Still buzzing from the NFC. No doubt. Every now and then I will search for some new fan reaction videos. Found a newer one today. It's pretty much what i think about when i think of your routine Southerner. But this house is pretty strange. Here we have two grown men in no shirts, one grown man with no pants, two babies and a 325 lb woman all watching UNC lose.

Scroll to about the 7:00 mark for the quote. Something I plan on using moving forward. Man this win still feels great.

What are your "Graduate Transfer" thoughts?......

I see today that Mich State picked up a forward from UNLV....Guy started at Oregon, transfers to UNLV ,now at MSU....The ability to jump around like this has created a whole new recruiting season, number one....and also, makes Redshirting a player a very risky option as he can bolt for another school after his 3rd year of playing for a school, just when he is at the top of his game.
I understand that the players are not indentured slaves, and like any student, they are free to leave whenever they want...I simply feel like some regulations should be put in place....perhaps the NCAA will address this matter after they conclude their UNC investigation?....all that being said,I hope we don't redshirt Painter....It sounds like he can contribute.....lastly,we could lose Eric after having him play for us for two years.

In the Spirit of this Weekend

The Saturday of the Kansas game we went to Churchill Downs at around 2/3 o'clock. When we got there we noticed a large bus with a picture of the 1985 Championship team celebrating. Turns out hours before the Kansas game Jay brought the team to the race track to get a private tour. Thought it was a pretty cool thing to do. I am not a big horse racing fan but I have to say the track tour is pretty awesome.

At the track there were a ton of Nova fans I said it before and i will said it again, the vibe in Louisville with Nova fans was that we were going to win the game and there wasnt much doubt at all.

You always hear about people waiting in long lines and having trouble voting etc - has anyone here every actually experienced that? I went to my polling place today and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. They even had donuts and coffee for voters. All this hullabaloo over voting issues and I've never seen a problem once.

Booth Surgery Update

Official Release:
Villanova sophomore guard Phil Booth (Baltimore, Md./Mount St. Joseph High School) underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Wednesday afternoon. The surgery was performed by Villanova Team Surgeon Dr. William Emper.

“Phil is as mentally tough a young man as we have had at Villanova,” stated Villanova head coach Jay Wright. “He continually impresses our coaching staff with his outstanding attitude. Phil will attack this recovery challenge with great determination, as he does everything in life.”

Booth played a pivotal role in Villanova’s 2016 NCAA national championship season, never more so than in the 77-74 victory over North Carolina on April 4 in Houston. The 6-3 guard connected on 6-of-7 field goal attempts and all six of his free throws to finish with a season high 20 points that night at NRG Stadium.

For the season, Booth appeared in all 40 games played by the Wildcats, averaging 21.9 minutes, 7.0 points and 2.2 assists per outing.

A 6-8 week recovery is anticipated from this procedure. Booth will be under the care of Villanova Team Physician Dr. Michael Duncan and Dr. Emper as he recovers.
