One more Josh mention, this from CBS Sports

Josh Hart | SG | Villanova (No. 70): Hart performed solidly in the athletic testing, and posted somewhat low measurements in terms of length, as was expected. In the 5-on-5 though, he really struggled to assert himself in any way offensively, only scoring six points over the two games. Simply, he's not the most athletic guy, not the best ball-handler, and isn't the most accurate shooter at this stage. He's average at all three aspects on that end, but he gets around that in college by playing hard all the time, being a killer defender and terrific rebounder. If he returns and diversifies his game a bit on the offensive end, he could be next season's Malcolm Brogdon, who now has a chance to go in the first round after an All-American season. Hart says he's still undecided in terms of what he's going to do. He has workouts scheduled through May 24, and plans to go down to the deadline with his decision. Beyond saying that a first round commitment is not required for him to go pro, Hart seems genuinely torn on the choice. There's no real lean either way on this one, but it's unlikely he would go in the first round if he decides to stay in the draft.

Draft Workouts Today

Josh Hart - Celtics
If there ever was an NBA match made in heaven it's Brad Stevens and Josh Hart. Saying that if the Celtics gave me a guarantee I don't know if I would risk it. They are going to probably trade a few if not all picks.

Ryan Arch - Indiana
Some NBA team is either going to draft Arc late to bring him to camp and that team is going to be very lucky. My prediction is that Arc becomes a back up PG in the NBA who contributes to a Championship.

Jay and Archie Signed Championship Balls/Photos From Steiner

Hey Guys-

I am a longtime board member (even though my profile says 2015 since I had to create a new account last year, weird). VU Class of 2008, and I now work for Steiner Sports Marketing in New York. Our Company handles autograph deals and marketing appearances for pro athletes and college coaches/graduated players.

I just wanted to post because we are doing a signing with Jay next week, and just recently had Archie sign last week. Here are the NCAA Champ items we will be getting done, Photos and Commemorative Basketballs, and if anyone is interested I would be happy to give a discount on any of our Nova items to Board Members and or Alumni. We also could have Jay Personalize items or sign your personal items if you send them in, and also offer framing options/cases for the balls, just email me for pricing on those. See below for the link directly to the Nova stuff on the site. Email me at jgroglio@steinersports.com or feel free to call me at 914 307 1126 with any interest/questions! Thanks and Go Cats!

Ben Simmons

I know he was the espn golden hype boy this yr, but what do you guys think?

I guess he could be good, but from what I saw he is fairly passive without the ball and not the type of guy who can take over a game. Also, his attributes seem to be more in the skill/craftiness department than athleticism (which isn't always a bad thing, as I would say the same about Paul Pierce or Carmelo).

This kid from Duke, Ingram, needs to put on some weight. He's going to get pushed around by the men in the NBA.

Phillies direction on #1 pick?

http://www.phillyvoice.com/who-phil...ow-they-might-play-mlb-draft-their-advantage/

Decent article here on some draft history. Only three HS pitchers taken #1 in 50 years. Also, only one recent CY winner was a HS pitcher.

Last week, Jayson Stark said whispers around baseball were that the Phillies were moving off of the local HS kid Groome and looking at a college pitcher, specifically the kid Puk from FLA.

Today, Stark stated they are moving away from Puk and could take a college bat, specifically the CF from Mercer.

What do you guys think about HS vs College pitching at the top of the draft? Prefer a bat? Or just go with best player on your board regardless of position/level?

Decent article. Give it a gander.

Calipari claims to be a UK Lifer

From 24/7 Sports: Coach Cal posts an essay on his website whereby he purports UK is his final coaching destination.

Here are a few of his remaining goals:
- Chasing UCLA's mark of 11 national championships

– Having half of the NBA All-Star Game represented by former Wildcats.

– Making sure UK remains the gold standard in college basketball.

He ended his essay with this gem:

"There will be some who will attack me, attack the program, attack the approach, and some will even say, 'He only talks about the NBA.' But I can only tell our fans it’s similar to what Frank Sinatra once said: Our best response … is massive success."

Best "Josh/Villanova next season article" I've read...

Really nice piece from Scott Phillips at NBC Sports:

http://collegebasketball.nbcsports....sion-changes-the-course-of-villanovas-season/

And this from Jeff Goodman @ ESPN:

Josh Hart, Jr., Villanova Wildcats
He was arguably the best player on a team that won the national title, but he's also a guy who could wind up going undrafted.
What the NBA executives feel he should do: Definitely return to school. He needs to improve his perimeter shot, his handle and also be more dynamic off the bounce.
What will he do: Return to school. Hart says he is torn, but at the end of the day he should understand his stock isn't high enough -- and he can help lead Villanova back to the Final Four.

OT... Boston College

I the below link is the final link in a slide show entitled "Colleges with the Biggest Decrease in Applications". Guess what? Boston College is identified as the school with the biggest decrease:

Percent Decrease: -27.96%
Absolute Decrease: -9,523

Boston College takes the top spot with a 27.96% decrease in applications between the 2012 and 2013 school years. Despite enrolling 7.9% fewer students, the acceptance rate still rose to 32.2% in 2013 from 28.8% in 2012.

I would appreciate if someone would kindly provide the percent increases for Villanova over this time period.
Regards.
