Solheim cup controversy

Did not watch one second of the match but did see the video of the controversy. Thought one of the BW golfers would comment on it.

Short version - four ball match is all square on 17 with USA putting to win hole from 8 feet. Putt misses edge, goes about 18-24 inches past. Euro golfers and caddies immediately start walking to next tee. Referee calls out "hole..." About to announce that match is all square. USA golfer hears someone say "that's good" as she walks towards ball, scoops up ball, thinking putt is conceded. Then Suzanne petterson goes to match ref "we didn't concede it". So after a brief discussion, ref says euro leads 1-up and match goes to 18th hole. (Europe then won match). Karma then bites euros in the ass when USA thrashes Europe in singles to win cup. Petterson first defends her move, then apologizes today via Instagram.

IMO, total shit move to walk towards next green and then decide that you want them to putt it. If that's your call, stand there and wait for them to putt.

Thoughts? (Link is in next post).

DieselGate

Broke on Friday, so I figured Monday afternoon is a good time to start a thread on this. VW stock down 20% in monday trading.

People are saying this is potentially the end of diesel engines in passenger cars in the U.S. It could also possibly be the end of the VW brand in the U.S. too, since they have sucked the last few years anyway.
