Since I've been sick in bed with bronchitis the past 5 days, I've been looking for things to watch. I just tuned into the U.S. Vs Croatia game (live now) and Brunson just broke (not literally) some guys legs on a drive to the basket. About the 6 minute mark of the 1st quarter. It was a thing of beauty!

We're going to see a lot of that soon, and it will never get old.

I am working with other VU swimmer alums on setting up a charity raffle that will give 2 Villanova fans a dream trip that tentatively includes::

All proceeds from the raffle will support William T. Slamkowski '85 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Couple of things I wasn't sure if were seen/posted here. Russ Wood did a piece updating Durham's recovery and recruitment. No 'Nova mention in the article, mostly just recent offers, recapping visits to USF and Miami and mentioning he plans to visit UConn and Florida - but no dates.

Durham section of Wood's response (I assume Huell below means Durham as he discussed Huell's recruitment before this):

"Durham is more open, for the moment. He was on Miami's campus last Friday as I wrote about in the story Eric linked to. Miami is in regular contact with him and I get a sense that Villanova, UConn, Kansas and Miami make up a top tier of teams for Huell...though he has not told me that specifically, there's something about the way he and his mother mentions those schools...body language changes/facial expressions etc."


Nothing groundbreaking, but he's on the depth chart and it's reasonably quiet - figured it was worth passing along.

Talks about Stanley mostly (then Porzingas) but spends a decent amount of time talking about Hilliard. Thing I found most interesting was that they had him rated in their top 25, while perhaps only one or two mock drafts had him being picked at all.

Hearing some buzz Ryne Sandberg might have resigned. Trying to confirm #Phillies

was listening to the draft on ESPN radio and the announcers were pretty harsh on Kyle. Said he didn't play well after all star (we all knew that) but that he was a problem and everyone knows it and even though toronto wants to move him they may have a hard time. Is this true?
