Stop. Resisting. Arrest. And. Threatening. Cops.

So this video is lurking around the internet today.

Why is this so hard? Stop resisting arrest. When a cop tells you to do something, do it. When a cop is trying to subdue your friend who is resisting arrest, don't walk up to the cop and push him in the back.

Yeah, the cop is acting like a douche and probably shouldn't have rung the first kid's neck. But after that, it's all on these kids.

On another note, the sand-kicking in the middle of the video made me chuckle. That would totally have been my move if I were in the crowd.

THANK YOU AGAIN SEANDON AND ARCI3ACONO!

SeanDon every year puts together some truly memorable highlight videos and quite frankly I just don't think he gets enough praise for his efforts.

I just want SeanDon to know this Wildcat fan is truly grateful for all the videos he has made. I still watch the old ones from time to time and they bring back some wonderful memories.

Also a quick shout out to Arci3 for his efforts as well.

Really great job guys and again, much appreciated!

KEEP 'EM COMING AND GO CATS!

Don't feel sorry for Cuse players

I'm reading and hearing a lot about how tough it must be on the Syracuse players (Christmas, Cooney, Silent G, etc), that are being denied playing in the post season due to past transgressions made by others. I have little sympathy.

When these athletes take their on campus visits, they are exposed to different types of schools, many of which have extremely different philosophies in regards to what they expect from their student/athletes. They also spend time hanging out with current players, at which time they find out all about the "culture" of that particular program.

Therefore, when a Malachi Richardson visits Syracuse, he has a pretty good feel about what will be expected of him, compared to what will be expected of him at, say, Georgetown. The recruit then makes a conscious decision which path he will take.

Let the buyer beware.

SIX EVENTS THAT SHAPED THE CONSTRUCT OF THIS TEAM..CHEMISTRY..AND SUCCESS

NO TEAMS ARE BUILT.....THEY JUST EMERGE THRU EVENTS HAPPENING ALL OVER COLLEGE BASKETBALL....HAPPENSTANCE....YOU CAN TRY TO BULID THEM WITH PERFECTION...BUT ITS TOO INEXACT OF A SCIENCE........SO...HOW DID WE GET HERE.....WHY THE GREATEST WON LOSS RECORD In VU HISTORY...REGULAR SEASON.....SIX EVENTS.....YOU CAN ASK WHAT IF THEY DIDNT OCCUR........SO HERE WE GO......EVENT ONE...CHEEK AND WAYNS DONT COME BACK THEIR SENIOR YEAR.....THIS WOULD HAVE SET THE PROGRAM BACK IN MY VIEW....HILLIARD WOULD NOT HAVE DEVELOPED..AND CONTEMPLATED TRANSFERRING.....ANOTHER YEAR OF SIR DOM WOULD HAVE ALTERED THE COURSE.........EVENT TWO.....TYRONE JOHSON TRANSFERED.....THIS BASICALLY PUT THE BALL IN RYAN ARCHS HANDS FOR FOUR YEARS....IT WAS HIS OPPORTUNITY.....HE WAS GIVEN THE REIGNS AS A FROSH....AND NEVER RELEASED THEM....TY JOHSON AND RYAN COULD HAVE NEVER CO EXISTED TOGTHER.....JOHNSON DID NOT FIT OUR STYLE OF PLAY......EVENT THREE.....MARCUS KENNEDY LEFT THE PROGRAM.....IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER IF HE STAYED.....HE WOULD NEVER EVER ACCEPTED HIS ROLE....HE WANTED MAJOR MINUTES....AND HAS BEEN RIDDLED WITH ACADEMIC ISSUES FOR YEARS.......HIS DEPARTURE..WAS A BLESSING....AND OPENED THE DOOR FOR OCHEFU ................EVENT FOUR.......VILLANOVA STAFF USES GREAT DISCIPLINE....AND AVOIDS TAKING SOME VERY GETTABLE HIGHLY RANKED PLAYERS BUT TAKE A PASS....SINCE THEY DONT WANT TO MESS WITH TEAM CHEMISTRY.........EVENT FIVE.....JAY NAMES BAKER DUNLEVY ASST HEAD COACH.....AND FOR THE FIRST TIME ACTUALLY LISTENS TO AN ASSISTANT IN THE COURSE OF....IN GAME COACHING.......THIS WAS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE.....SO THERE APPEARS TO BE DEEP TRUST ON SOME LEVEL.....EVENT SIX......THE DEVELOPMENT OF PLAYERS BECOMES TOP PRIORITY AND THE INDIVIDUAL TALENT TAKES A MAJOR LEAP IN IMPROVEMENT....OCHEFU DEVELOPS OFFENSIVE SKILLS....AND HART DEVELOPS A CONSISTENT JUMP SHOT AS TWO EXAMPLES........LOTS OF EVENTS IN THEIR TOTALITY.....FACITATED THIS SUCCESS.

Pomeroy's Big East Tournament log5

Gives us a 68% chance of reaching Saturday night and a 51% chance of cutting down the Garden nets.

"Villanova has been one of the most anonymous great teams in recent memory, however there’s rational explanation for this. They have a very balanced offense that doesn’t feature a go-to guy, and they don’t have a player highly placed on mock draft boards. And even though they dominated Big East play, finishing 16-2, the Wildcats aren’t overwhelming favorites here because of the collection of teams between 20 and 40 in my rankings.

Plus, St. John’s gets home-court advantage, although they may not get as much of a boost as they do for a regular-season Big East game. The Red Storm has only won the tournament three times at MSG and their last title came in 2000.

There’s almost no bid drama going on here. The Big East is projected to send six of its teams to the dance, and Xavier is currently the lowest projected seed with a nine. It would take one of the bottom four seeds to steal a bid, and their collective chances are about 1%."

Jay Wright comments from BE Coaches call today

Q: Comments on Hilliard and Arcidiacono as 1st Team Big East, Ochefu and JVP as Hon. Mention and Josh Hart as 6th Man?

Jay Wright: I am very proud of our guys. Ryan and Darrun making 1st Team is quite an honor and they have been a great part of our success this year. I feel a little for JVP and Daniel but I understand why because there are so many perimeter guys in our league that are so successful and put up great numbers but JayVaughn and Daniel do as much for as as Ryan and Darrun and do so much dirty work. In our program they are really valued and being Honorable Mention All Big East is still a very high honor. Finally with Josh Hart I couldn't be prouder of him. He has played starter minutes all year and never was concerned whether he came off the bench or not. He handled that position with great dignity and took pride in it and I am glad he was rewarded for it.

Q: Have you and your players talked at all about not just winning the BET this week but with that earning a #1 Seed in the NCAAs?

Wright: No. We don't talk about that at all. We actually try to avoid that. We know it is out there - we hear it, we watch TV we listen to the news. But that can't be what drives us. We have to be motivated by getting better every day and not looking down the line at what would the reward be for winning. It is definitely out there and it would be great to win it but we aren't going to win it if we don't get past the first game.

VUSports: The 1995 Villanova Big East Tournament Championship team was there for you game Saturday and spent some time with your team. Did they share any lessons or experiences with your team regarding how they were able to win the BET or their experiences in the NCAAs?

Wright: I hope so. Those guys are around all the time and they talk to our guys constantly. There was a lot of celebration Saturday and a lot of family members around with the 1995 guys having a lot of their kids there - so I don't know that they had time to individually have conversations with our guys about the BET … but we definitely addressed the fact that those guys went into the Big East and won the whole thing and there is great respect for that. That gives our guys pride in representing Villanova because we have done that before and also respect for those guys for having done it.

VUSports: You went on an 80-33 run after the dunk by Rysheed Jordan over Dylan Ennis. Was there some level of motivation gained there from the amount of trash talking and theatrics from the opponent?

Wright: I don't think we react to that but I was really impressed that Darrun Hilliard hit a three after that on our next possession. It was a spectacular play by Rysheed Jordan. Dylan Ennis was literally there for a charge and he jumped over him. I just love the way our guys respond. The crowd went crazy, St. John's was inspired and we came down and hit a three immediately and then came down and got a stop. I do think our guys have a mental toughness that way to respond in a positive way to anything that happens to them in a game.

Q: Is it a fair assumption to say that any potential game against Seton Hall would be an emotional one?

Wright: Yeah - you could say that. Mostly because they are good and they play well against us. They match up well with us. We both know each other so well the players have played against each other in AAU. It is always a tough, emotional game.

Frank Gore as an Eagle remembered

Running back Frank Gore has gotten cold feet on joining the Philadelphia Eagles, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, confirming an earlier report by NFL Network.

Sources told ESPN on Sunday that Gore intended to sign in Philadelphia on an expected three-year, $7.5 million deal.

Question about Syracuse

Did the NCAA investigation initially begin as an investigation in regards to Fab Melo and then expand from there? I remember that year when his eligibility was in question, it seemed like whoever was reporting on the story knew there was something shady that went down with Melo's recruitment/eligibility and it would be only a matter of time until the NCAA declared him ineligible. I remember thinking this at the time, and I could not understand why Syracuse was twisting itself up trying to keep this kid on the court, when he really never fit into what they do with their system. Is Melo still in the NBA? What year and when did he go in the draft? I'm pretty sure he was a 1st rounder but never panned out there either. It just seems fitting if Syracuse finally got exposed and the reason they did is over a player who never was any good there or anyplace else......poetic.

another idea regarding punishment for jim boeheim

Looks like Jimmy did not take his punishment well,,So here is my idea for punishing Syracuse/Boeheim...
I for one was real mad over Syracuse's self imposed post season ban..While jimmy sits back and collects his
millions and decides Rakeem Christmas and a kid (Michael Gbinije) who sat out a year on a transfer are somehow
responsible for things that were happening 10 years ago makes me sick...

So my idea is simple: Reverse the punishment and ban Jimmy and not let him coach his team for 3 years when
Syracuse makes the tournament...That would be a good hit to Jimmy's ego !!
