Kenpom - Tempo

Can someone provide me with an explanation of Kenpom's tempo ratings. I have looked around and havent really understood what stats he uses to get his score (and yes I googled too). I subscribed to his site for the first time this year and I am a stats guy myself so looking for a deeper understanding of his method.

nbadraft.net

Took a look at nbadraft.net.

We have no one on either the 2015 or 2016 mock drafts at this point

By class -JVP is the #29 prospect for seniors - Darrun the #50 prospect for seniors

No juniors ranked in Top 50

No sophomores ranked in Top 50

No freshman ranked in Top 50

Jalen Brunson the #42 ranked nba prospect in the senior class

A lot can change in March, but that is where its at.

Our league could use more pro prospects...

The only guys on the draft board for 2015 is Obekpa in the second round mid

The only guys on the 2016 draft board is Dunn - mid first round and Jordan - mid second

Ellenson the #14 ranked senior in hs prospect

Francessa

As a St. Johns alumnus (Francessa not me), anyone know if he commented on the drubbing the Cats put on his beloved Red Storm? I didn't have the chance to stream his show Monday during work. Not that I every value what he has to say but I was curious if he gave Nova any props afterwards.

Jay on Goltlieb today

Jay and team were on the NJ Turnpike already. Talked about Arch and how deserving he was of 1st team all BE. Doug said that he felt we are a 2 seed right now, Jay said it doesn't matter its all about match-ups. Doug said that we haven't made second weekend since 09 Final 4 team. Jay said all he remembers is losing last year to UConn, but when you say not since 09 it reminds him that it's been awhile. Doug brought up how great recruiting was after 09 but results weren't. Jay said they now educate recruits on Nova core values, that if they want to play in NBA that's fine, but you have to buy into the program's core values first. If you don't want to then its fine, but you will be miserable at Nova. After 09 everyone wanted to come here, which was great, but Jay and staff did a bad job of educating those kids about what was expected of them once they got here. Also said that in 2010 he ha TOO MANY PLAYERS, 11. That once they got to March having 11 players play wasn't conducive to what it takes to win close games in NCAA, said how St Mary's knew what they wanted to do and did it. Really emphasized that 11 was way too many. We see that now with only 10 for last few years. Doug raved about Arch and Pointer, how they are so versatile and do all the little things.

Mateen Cleaves on Boomer and Carton this morning

Interesting tidbit...Carton asked some questions on the recruiting that goes on (Carton went to Syracuse and led with that). Cleaves - who ended up at Michigan State in 2000 - stated his family was offered from $75k to $100k from multiple schools. I had no idea that the numbers ran that high. And who is to say he would have actually received that amount. He must have been a top 10 recruit. But that is extraordinary.

OT: Iggles

Apologize if this isn't allowed in season, but I hope Chip knows what he is doing.

Maclin...gone. Replacement...TBD

Shady...gone. Replacement...Frank Go...scratch that...TBD

Foles...gone. Replacement...Sam Bradford?????

Carey Williams...gone. Replacement...Byron Maxwell. I'm good with that, though I think he may be overpaid.

Chip let go of arguably his top three offensive skill position players. I hope he knows what he is doing and isn't just making this up as he goes.
