Jay Wright Conducts In-Home Visit With Justin Moore

This is the program's second contact with Moore in just over a week, and per Rivals' Corey Evans, this time it is the head man making the visit.

As we noted last week, the 6-4, four-star shooting guard is currently ranked 75 in the Rivals 150. Moore has plenty of interest, with schools like Cincinnati, Virginia, Maryland, Louisville, Xavier and Notre Dame all in the mix.

It does appear that he is developing into a priority target for the Cats based on the programs activiity with him over the past ten days, and his current ranking is in the sweet spot that Wright likes to pluck prospects from. Moore definitely looks like someone to keep an eye on as we head into the summer.

Final 2018 Rivals 150 Rankings

The final Rivals rankings for the class of 2018 are out, and three Wildcats crack the top 51. Jahvon Quinerly checks in at 29, while Cole Swider is 37 and Brandon Slater is 51.

Rivals ranks the Cats' 2018 class 13, but that number is slightly deflated due to the fact that it is a three man class. If you look at the average star ranking of the class, Nova bumps up to number 7.

2019 Work Continues As Cats Visit Joe Girard III

With the 2018 class in place, the Cats continue to put in work on the 2019 group, today visiting 6-1 Glen Falls, NY product Joe Girard III. Rivals' Corey Evans had the news early this morning, while 247 Sports' Andrew Slater followed up that it would be Coach Nardi making the visit.

Girard is currently ranked 125th in his class by Rivals, but is considered one of the best shooters in the 2019 class. He already holds a plethora of offers from the likes of Duke, Michigan, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Penn State and Oklahoma, among others.

Swider Joins U.S. Team At Nike Hoops Summit

More elite basketball for Villanova's incoming recruiting class, as Cole Swider has been added to the U.S. roster for the 2018 Nike Hoops Summit. Swider scored 17 points in the Jordan Brand Classic last weekend.

The game will take place on Friday at 10 PM and will air on ESPN2.

In addition to Swider, Jahvon Quinerly recently played in the McDonald's All-American game and today was added to the roster of the Iverson Roundball Classic, where he will join another future Wildcat, Brandon Slater.

Ashley Howard to La Salle

We knew Villanova assistant coach Ashley Howard would be a hot name for some of the coaching vacancies this spring, and now the fears of losing him have been confirmed as he has taken the job at La Salle.

Howard served as an assistant at La Salle from 2004-08. He developed a reputation as an excellent recruiter at Villanova, playing a major role in the recruitment of Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and Mikal Bridges.

He will certainly be missed at Villanova, but it's a great opportunity and it's wonderful to see Howard get to lead a program and watch the Wright coaching tree expand. Wright had this to say: "Ashley is an outstanding coach who made a great impact on our program and university in his five years with us. His passion for mentoring young men and teaching skill has been invaluable in our team's development. La Salle has made a terrific selection and all of us at Villanova are thrilled for Ashley, Ariana and Journey as they embark on this new phase of Ash's career."

Again, congrats to Howard on this wonderful opportunity. While he'll be missed at Villanova, this type of thing is inevitable when you've had the kind of success that the Wildcats have over the past five years.
