Almost rolled a golf cart hammered at full speed and hit a huge hill (60 degrees maybe?). Spun the thing and ended up backwards. Would have died if we flipped it.
Irons are just a nightmare for me. Probably always picking the wrong club as I can never get comfortable with any shot 125-250.
Drain 3's. You can play to 50 with anyone if you can hit a 23 footer 50% of the time.
Not an accounting policy buff, but I'll get to it if I need to.
Did visit Pitt. Liked it, but probably enjoy the suburban campus style better.

Trying to figure that out now. Had a resection back in '03, but it's back in full swing. Seeing one of the 2-3 best guys in Boston now and will probably try some of the more serious medications. Life has been tough to keep up with feeling "crappy" all the time. LOL!

175 with an 8 iron?
Do you do steroids? Or are you some meathead who hits the wrong club from 175 so you can feel like a big man? What is wrong with a nice smooth 6 iron from 175? Do you hit an 8 iron from 175 to impress the ladies?
Why don't you just go to the range and hit a bucket of 8 irons without over swinging and then use a lazer range finder and see how far they go, then the next day do the same with a 6 iron, and the next day the same with a 7 iron, and the next day go with all three of them and see if you can maintain some consistency?
I don't even think lizreed uses an 8 iron from 175 on average, and she rips the ball.
I go 6 iron from 175. Sometimes 5 if the conditions call for it, and if I have favorable conditions I will go 7 iron. Tomorrow I am going to go play Volcano which is 4k feet elevation, so I will be hitting an 8 iron from 175, but that's extreme.
I can hit a 7 iron 175 yards too if I want. Why would you want to?
The average tour player swings an 8 iron 87 mph, which results in a 160 yard shot. The only reason a normal size amateur golfer is hitting an 8 iron from 175 is because they never took the time to learn what to hit from each distance without trying to overdo it (or they are playing some elevated course or in real hot conditions with a super compressed ball)
And a 175 yd 7 iron is not absurd. I go 155-170 on my 7 iron on avg. But 175 is the high end, 6 iron is more appropriate.
I play the ProV1, and probably only go back 80% of the way. I just have a big turn and pretty high club head speed. Slowing down any further and I chunk the ball.
So to answer the question I posed to Sal:

Golf is a game of accuracy, not power. Even whitecat knows that.
The reason you would chunk the shot is because you decelerate, not because you are "swinging slower". Just swing through the ball without trying to crush it and you shouldn't chunk it.
Ball, please post a table showing your full swing, no wind carry and total distances for each club.

My group did win the last tournament we played with a 4 under 68 in a 2 man scramble where I birdied the last two holes on my own ball, so my game isn't total shit. But I don't ever play anymore. Friend from out of town is in so I am taking him there rather than one of the cookie cutter senior tour quality resort courses that we have up north.

Depends on your swing, but 60s are meant for 45 and in. I've always tried to play the 56 out there.
